trade talk addition; Kevin Martin --> Houston
not sure if this has been brought up before, but I think this would be the ideal trade for houston.
He's a perennial solid SG that can put up big numbers, can close and has steadily improved throughout his career!
Exactly what houston needs right now!
He's even played under coach Aldelman as a rookie.
Not too sure what pieces would be included in this trade. Best thing would be tmac for kmart plus something like draft pick or another player, since kmart's contract is only 10 mio.
But i've talked to a sac fan who's willing give up martin if they get a veteran defensive presence in return, which would be Battier in our case.
What do you think about this trade?
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

K-marts ok I don't like the fact that he's a perimeter only guy.
I’d like to have an athletic versatile 2 instead of a perimeter only guy. Although his perimeter offense is much needed! Plus he was just injured so I’d be wary of him til he’s been playing for awhile. What if he gets hurt again and we just aquired an injured 2 guard (tmac). I just hope we don’t do the Wiz/Bulls trade I don’t like the pieces. Also just a lil opinion from you guys. Who’s better all around Landry or Bynum? I say Landry but I been arguing with some Laker fan that just totally thinks Bynum’s future is brighter than Landry’s! We been arguing about a fairer hypothetical trade for Bosh.
yeah i agree
its kinda risky to take kmart right now… but we’ll see around trade deadline.
About Landry vs Bynum, idk, i don’t really watch bynums game, but i believe landry is a lot more athletic and agile that bynum. And landry has a better mid rang game.
Tmac for Kmart and Kenny Thomas
Tmac for Kmart and Kenny Thomas’s expiring contract works numbers wise. We would have to throw in a young player to give them something out of it other than cap relief. The Kings keep talking about getting a young “big” that actually has some aggression, since Spencer Hawes and Thompson are not aggressive in nature. Joey Dorsey, who just came up from the D-League yesterday would be a nice throw in for the Kings. Kevin Martin could come in and average 22-24ppg, and take the place of Battier’s 8 ppg, when he still gives up 25ppg. I would then try and use Battier in a package to a playoff team as it closer to the dead line.

wait...
I thought “KMart” was universally known to refer to “Kenyon Martin”. You know, the thug guy on the Nuggets whom I want no part of… that guy. I like Kevin Martin, but the Kings want to see how he and Evans play together.
well
pretty sure kmart is used to refer to either.
but....
You are talking to a person (me) who still refuses to identify LaDainian Tomlinson by the “LT” nickname. Because that is Lawrence Taylor’s name. Tomlinson is “LT2” or “Dirty Horned Frog”.
Same concept here.
so...
KevMart or KMartin. Maybe just KM?

Since he’s younger than the real KMart, how about Lil’ KM.

Tmac 4 Kev. Martin/ken Thomas
I like that trade, u guys r right Kev a perimeter player, but good thing is he is young and can develop that that part of his game; thomas is a strong tough guy who can definitely help us on the boards! Instead of giving up Dorsey, how bout we get rid of Anderson? Go Rockets!!!!
I do not fully understand the value of Tmac’s contract but I think he is worth more than Martin. What I mean is that teams mainly want Tmac for the expiring contract so they can do after Wade, Lebron, etc. Why dont the Rockets just use the Tmac contract $ and do the same. Nothing is going to happen this year anyway. Otherwise, I sure wish the Rockets had Martin instead of Ariza.
They can't
Next years Cap will most likely lower and Scola and Lowry will be free agents. Yao has a player option of almost $18 mil. Plus all 6 of the players with contracts pass the 2010-2011 season, and one of the two players with team options(Hayes and Landry) all have salaries that will increase next year, Landry being the only one to be paid the same at $3 mil. And not to mention Dorseys non guranteed 950K.
