Still bored at work... HOW TO TRADE FOR WADE AND PAUL
New Orleans Hornets send Chris Paul to Houston Rockets for Tracy McGrady. Houston Rockets send Trevor Ariza to the Miami Heat for Dwayne Wade. New Orleans Hornets send Peja Stojakovic to the Miami Heat.
ESPN Trade Machine is my friend on slow days... Morey make it happen!

I can make all sorts of impossible trades work…
… while playing the franchise mode in NBA Live. That doesn’t mean it could happen in real life.
But there is no way teams make those trades… especially since neither of the players play for the Grizzlies.
Only the Grizz seem dumb enough to trade a name player for almost nothing.
Maybe Houston can slicker Memphis out of one of their players like LA did…
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...
Remember that the Grizzlies got Marc Gasol in the deal you're referring to.
He’s turning out to be pretty good.
Decent player but…
… nobody would take Marc ahead of Pau if they are choosing up sides for a game…

This sounds like a video game trade
But one that will probably not not happen. Chris Bosh and Andre Iguodala is more plausible (BigNate69922 beat me to the punch). But here’s an idea.
Toronto Gets: Trevor Ariza, Luis Scola, David Andersen or Bryan Cook, Houston’s 2010 1st Round Pick
Philadelphia Gets: Tracy McGrady (cap space)
Houston Gets: Chris Bosh, Andre Iguodala, Samuel Dalembert
Leaving a rotation as follows:
PG: Brooks/Lowry
SG: Iguodala/Taylor
SF: Battier/Budinger
PF: Bosh/Landry
C: Dalembert/Hayes/Andersen
Hurts to lose Scola, and while Ariza’s putting Rafer-like shooting numbers, he’s been progressing somewhat.

In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.
I highly doubt Morey will give up a 1st round pick
although it might be worth it in the short term.

You're probably right
The way i see it, the first rounder sweetens the pot a little bit for the Raptors. They get a servicable 4-man in Scola, a young hustler in Ariza and either 3m in cap space next year or another big with 3-point range in DA. The first rounder will either be a low teen or a high teen pick (depending on whether or not we make the playoffs).
Getting Iguodala gives you that slashing 2-guard who can do some of the things McGrady was supposed to do. Brooks can keep his role of being a 15-16ppg guy with Iggy. Bosh can control the post in the 1st Q, then Landry in the 2nd. Can you see a Bosh/Landry/Brooks/Iggy/Budinger or Battier 4th quarter finishing group? I get excited just thinking about it.

If Morey can pull that off, he’d get a new nickname:
“Houdini”!
