Pre-Season Game 4: Houston Rockets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

This is the first back to back of 2010-2011. Yao Ming will not be be playing as most of you know because he is only playing one game in back to backs for at least the first part of the season. The other two players who will not play due to injury are Brad Miller and Kyle Lowry, who should be getting back in time for Wednesday's game in China against the Neyts. Ish Smith killed it yesterday so its vital for him to have a good game today in order to hopefully solidify his place on the team. Unless Dampier chooses to accept the proposed contract and is deemed more valuable to the team than a 3rd PG. Also look for Jermaine Taylor tonight, he might make a cameo.
The new look Cavaliers are a much weaker team from the one we are used to of course. They are 1-1 in the preseason with a win against the Bobcats and a loss on Thursday against the Wizards. I think the Rockets are the better team even without Yao, Miller, and Lowry so I expect a win at home. Come on Rockets!

I want to see Patterson get lots of playing time.
With Yao out, Hill will start at center, leaving Chuck and Patterson as back ups. Hopefully he will get at least 20-25 minutes.

Although he really hasn’t done too much since his first preseason game. I hope he doesn’t fade away into the background tonight. I think he needs to work on his confidence level, he will probably spend some time with the RVG.

He went 2-3 from the field last night,
so his confidence shouldn’t be down. He’s already developed a consistent mid range jumper, but if he could shoot from the 3 point line and make it consistently, he may push Scola for the starting job. We need to give Yao all the room he can get.

I didn't mean to put it that way.
Should have said in a year or two. I know he isn’t in the rotation yet, but if he can play at a high level defensively, he will pass Chuck.
