PrintAs much as I think the whole "Yao Ming can only play 24 minutes" idea is ridiculously dumb... like "100" being a pitch count standard is dumb in baseball...

I agree on the pitch count thing.
I’m wondering where I can find an orthopedist and ask if 24 minutes will be much better for Yao than say 30. Will 6 minutes times let’s say 80 games = 8 hours of play spread out over 4 months really be such a difference maker in terms of injury? I’m dubious.

i guess you got to place a line somewhere..
lets start with 24, hell even 12, just to get him on the court will be great.
The beginning of the season doesn’t even matter compared with the end and the playoffs so I would like to just ease him back in slowly and be sure come playoffs Howard, Pau, etc…will all be Yao’s little bitches.

By the way, Yao for 24 minutes is a 75% Yao not a 50% Yao since Yao wouldn’t play more than 32-35 minutes anyway
