I have been feeling as blue, let down, sad, anxious, etc.. about our lack of D, poor ability to finish out games, etc... as the next guy. I have been making statements on posts about this idea or that etc... Ultimately, though, it will just take time to figure out what configuration works and what doesn't.
Clearly, Hill and Patterson are not game ready yet. The fact that they are not playing speaks volumes. I know some of you don't like RA, but he is a very skilled coach and knows what he is doing (most of the time).
We played damn well against the lakers for most of that game, so it shows what we can do against last season's champs. There is no reason that we can't figure out the problem/s and make some adjustment and come back to make a good playoff run.
This sucks a ton. I know. I have a new yorker making fun of us that the Knicks are doing better than us etc... I just smile and say...you shall see. I better fucking see!....but for now I argue patience.
Don't bet on Melo or any other blockbuster trade to fix the problem. It may help but we are a team that is in transition. We have a ton of new players and new playing requirements when Yao is out there. It sucks and it may not work with him playing only a set number of minutes, but its what we have. To save Yao's career in Houston is worth it. We have to let Yao and Miller get remixed/mixed for the first time into the team.
Lets just hope we all don't kill ourselves waiting.
