The DreamCast: Episode 4 - Tas Melas of The Basketball Jones

After reeling in Kevin Pelton for last week's episode, we decided to stick with the cream of the NBA commentary crop and somehow tricked Tas Melas into coming on for Episode 4. Made sense, you know, since Melas' Raptors host the Rockets Friday night. Here's how it went down:

1. (0:00 - 20:33)

Christian and Tom discuss the Rockets' losses to Chicago and Oklahoma City, clarify the value of statistical analysis and combat the idea that the Rockets should start to panic. Yes, twenty minutes of that, but it's good stuff. We promise.

2. (21:10 - 41:25)

Better use of twenty minutes: chatting with Mr. Melas. We discuss his role at The Score, catch up with Joey Dorsey and David Andersen, and break down the Raptors, the Rockets and the future whereabouts of Hedo Turkoglu (search for an image of Melas if you think we're completely off-topic). You don't want to miss it.

3. (42:00 - 48:40)

Christian and Tom ponder the immediate future of the Knicks, since their draft picks matter to us.
