Around SBN: Bob Sapp Denies Throwing Fights

But I thought we TRADED Trevor Ariza?!?!?

Rockets have two point lead... Spurs foul to send us to the line.

Courtney Lee goes to the line for two to seal the game.

Brick.  It's okay.  He's still got one more...

and...

Brick!!?!?

What the f--k?  I thought we traded Trevor Ariza.  They are called "free" throws for a reason, Courtney.  Missing both there is decidedly unclutch.  If we wanted someone to miss two free throws, we'd have put Aaron Brooks back in the game!

And now the Rockets are 0-5.  Shoot me.

I don't really know what Lee does

other than running fast and jumping high. If I hear one more person say “he’s a great on the ball defender” im gonna kill something. He can’t guard a lick.

oh I'm missing Trevor Ariza now

just removing him from last year’s starting unit, and we can’t guard anyone. TA was already posting triple doubles or near triple doubles at the end of the season.

It’s looking all the more that that trade was a mistake. I agree CLee is not that good of an on the ball defender.

I am basking in some form of glory right now

As I’m sure John P will be when you consider him and I caught a lot of flack for wanting to keep Ariza.

I'm always right, this isn't conjecture, merely statement of fact.

It's the JT curse

He ruined T-Mac’s knee,
Jedi’d Les into not wanting to re-sign Artest
Got Wafer to fail his physical
Bent Lowry’s back
Got Martin to have another one of those “freak” injuries
Steals Lee’s mo-jo when the game is on the line.

For the love of god and the training staff, end this run of terror Rick and just start him already!

BS!!!

i was one of the doubters when ariza was traded and thought it was a bad trade especially thinking that we only got one player but after seeing him play more and more it was definitely the right choice.

Go and look up Ariza stats against the bucks 2-11 and 2-7 3’s he still the same old same old when he was a rocket! just jacking up bad shots

plus lee is a way better ball handler than ariza is

I don't know why any of you are surprised

Courtney Lee has a history of missing clutch free throws. I don’t know where you were on June 8th, 2009 (vacation, not watching the NBA…) but the Lakers did manage to make it to the Finals, and in Game 2, against the Orlando, the Magic’s Courtney Lee missed two clutch free throws in the waning moments.

P.S. Trevor Ariza was in that game.

Well, that certainly proves...

that Lee has missed 4 important free throws (2 as a rookie starter in the finals, but nevermind) and that Trevor Ariza played at one time for the Lakers, and was clearly the key to their success as swapping him for Ron Artest demonstrated.

Moral

Did anybody notice Scola telling Lee to shake it off after missing those shots from the stripe? Scola is a class act. He could be bitchin’ at his team right now. But instead, he is giving encouragement. Let’s do the same.
