Hello. I've been a member of T.D.S for about a year now, and I regularly come on this site to see the happenings and news/notes of this team. However, from the beginning of summer, to this exact moment, all I have been seeing from (most) of the fans is pessimism; complete and utter pessimism. Sure, we started off this season in a not so great fashion, and understandably, we were a little frightened, scared, discouraged, but since then the Rockets have been playing better and showing signs of life. We have 56 games to go, guys. An 11-15 start isn't the end of the world. However, all I have been seeing on this site is meaningless trade posts and pointless what if's that have been beaten to the ground. Is this really all we have to offer as a fan site? Are we a "here's what Daryl Morey has to do" type of fan base? Should we really blow up our team, acquire only young players, and start over? No thanks. This isn't our job.
I am not trying to be "holier than thou" on this site. I was one in the summer who wanted Melo, badly. So don't think I'm trying to be above you. But please, answer me this: why all the trade posts? Why do we want A.I so badly? People have told me because we need a superstar to win championships. A.I is not that superstar, even though I truly believe that we can be a W.C. Final team just the way we are. Are we really this upset with our team the way it is now? I don't know for sure, but this line-up...
PG: Brooks, Lowry
SG: Martin, Lee, Bud
SF: Battier, T-Will
PF: Scola, Hill
C: Hayes, Miller
...looks pretty damn good to me. We ARE a mid-level center away from being great. Trading constantly only hurts teams like us. We need cohesion as a team to win, and trading everyone away would hurt that an awful lot.
And really, if nothing else got through to you on this post, remember this: just because the trade works on the damn ESPN trade machine, doesn't mean its a good trade, and doesn't mean you need to post it on this site. Thank you and good night.
