One of these days he'll learn not to go near a microphone.
And to think I was actually going to applaud him tonight.
Go suck a bag of dicks, Tracy.
for real
I Loved him when he was here and I definitely supported an applause for him… but whatever he’s only gonna get like 5 minutes playing time and prolly only touch the ball once.. cunt

Oh I disagree.
He’ll probably end up making a ton of shots and generally looking good.
So, Tracy, is Detroit paying you $23 million?

Well now, I need to delete my comment
Didn’t read before I posted. Have you seen his show?
I'm always right, this isn't conjecture, merely statement of fact.
Go to YouTube
type in “Suck a Bag of Dicks Louis CK” and thank me later.

Yes, it was pretty good. But self-pity in the face of what he was paid, versus what he did, is aggravating.

Someone is bitter
that his career is over, and that he could never get out of the first round. Actually, I’m not sure he cares about getting any further in the playoffs.

T-Mac defender (not apologist) till the day I die. I used to get in fights over it with the stupid Dreamshake writer, what’s that guys name?

Same here. Gotta appreciate what T-Mac brought. He fucked up at the end with injuries, but he did play through injuries at the start. He’s way over blamed
by VBG on Dec 7, 2010 3:08 PM CST up reply actions
I agree..
Yeah there was some well deserved criticism with the way he fucked us over announcing surgery right before the trade deadline, but when he was healthy and playing well people put way too much weight on his shoulders. Tracy could score 30 points in a loss and fans would be like, “Why didn’t he score 40 so we could win???”
didn't I ban you for that?
Just kidding.
I see T-Mac is awesome now in Detroit. Apparently you win our little argument.

Ahh there he is.
I agree, he did look awesome(not caps lock awesome though).
Me too
Tmac made the Rockets better … most of the time. The guy cannot help that he was injured. I mean, maybe he could have helped it … maybe he could have somehow kept in better shape or something like that … but he did try to play well. And when he was hurt, he tried to play. And when he was returning from injury, he tried to return as fast as possible. The Tmac – Steve Francis trade was a day that brought hope to the Rockets. Sure, it didn’t pan out just right for the Rockets but it didn’t for Tmac either. Personally, I would really like to see him recover a bit more and get on a good team with one more chance to contribute a signficant amount.
I said the same thing
about the Phil Jackson comments but nobody believed me! Saying that, I don’t think this was a joke.

Phil Jackson and Tmac
Were just making little fairly innocent jokes and some of the guys on here get upset like a woman when you say the wrong thing about their hair or dress or some silly crap like that. Heh, boys, it is just a basketball game. Phil Jackson has a good argument and we all love to argue. If yall were Bulls fans, you would all be on some Bulls blog arguing the same thing that Phil Jackson said. And if you were in Tmac’s shoes, you would have said the same thing Tmac said. I don’t see any improvement in the results now that Tmac is gone. Do you?

Hakeems fault really
Ever since he left the team has been in the dumps.
You know as frustrating as this season is at least we don’t have Tracy McGrady and his off/on again nonsense and his immature, passive aggressive, and selfish attitude. We maybe a weak patient but, that’s only because of the treatment that got rid of the cancer.
A spectacular player at his peak, a spectacular pain in the ass when not.

TMac’s Post Game Q&A:
After a win, every sentence begins with “I”.
After a loss, every sentence begins with “we”.

I thought
This was really funny. But that’s just me. I guess its more important to take his little jabs really seriously & open up that old box of McGrady-era rage that’s been stored in the back of the ol’ brain since February.
Seriously guys, chill.

I heard this sound byte on the radio
a few minutes ago. He actually sounded mad and a little put off. After he said this he goes, “I’m done” and he hear him walking off. Didn’t sound like he was making a joke, but maybe an actual video would prove otherwise.
Anyway, I thought he might get an applause tonight. But after these comments I’m doubting it. Should be very interesting to see what TC does tonight. You think he’ll get a tribute? Landry did…probably not suppose. But he did do a lot while he was here (minus the last 2 years).
"Sometimes the things that make you great, also make you an asshole."
Yeah for McGrady's tribute
we’re going to burn a big pile of money at center court. For old times’ sake.

I'm sure he'll get applauded
The average fan doesn’t really hate McGrady as much as we do. Ah well.
Minnesotan Rockets fan
nor do they hear him on the radio
or read quotes like this one. They’ll applaud.
How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

Here’s some of the interview
Fuck you too, Tracy.
"Hakeem couldn't kick your ass cuz you were too
close kissin his!"- Sir Charles to Kenny Smith.
We were mad because he was SO good when halfway healthy.
I always thought he was Kobe’s closest competitor back in the day. I hope he gets some talents back and can be useful. Maybe one day he can be like a Grant Hill and just play ball and help the young guys, then show flashes of his old self when his team needs it. Don’t hate the guy, none of us went through what he did. You can blame him and insult his idiotic comments but none of us ever put on those huge shoes and did what he did.
I don't like hearing him described like a valiant cancer patient.
He was the highest paid player in the NBA for what he went through.

I'm still applauding him.
Quitter or not, lazy or not, asshole or not, this guy put up some incredible numbers and created one of the best moments of my life (13 in 33). Yeah, I used to be on T-Mac the way people are on Kobe, and I guess I have some of that left in me, but come on.
If you're a fan of basketball, watch a movie called Sonicsgate. It's free, just google it.

Which is what, exactly?
That when you’re the highest paid player in the NBA people have expectations of you? My, that IS unfair. Poor Tracy.

He had the Lebron problem
He heaped this burden upon himself and when he couldn’t deliver he tried to dodge blame.
“It’s on me.”
“We just couldn’t get it done.”
“I’m not gonna stop until I bring a title to Cleveland.”
“I’m taking my talents to South Beach.”
I don't usually plan out my days because the word "premeditation" gets thrown around a lot in courts today.

The point being...
That despite his absence, we’re still not any better, and possibly worse off. He was the highest paid player because he really was incredible whether anyone wants to admit that or not. It’s no different than Yao Ming being the Rocket’s highest paid player and least productive at this time….are we going to demonize him too? I think the difference is Yao’s attitude is a lot more humble and as Rockets fans we just want to hate McGrady…but the dude was sick!
Who cares what he says in the press. The reality is that he is (by most measures) washed up. I don’t remember the context of “It’s on me.” or “We just couldn’t get it done.” so I can’t offer anything to it…. but I know that my involvement in various organizations and teams that if I fail to deliver and it holds other people back it is on me, and if we as a team or company do not deliver then in reality “we just couldn’t get it done.”
Basketball is a team sport, but nobody can discount the fact that teams need equalizers. Look at what this domain name is… Olajuwon was the equalizer for Clutch City and that’s what we’re currently lacking.
the difference is Yao’s attitude is a lot more humble and as Rockets fans we just want to hate McGrady
In a nutshell, that’s it. But don’t forget, when he tried to come back, the many times McGrady would cross half court and camp himself 28 feet from the basket for the remainder of the possession.
Giving your all for the team when you ARE on the court should be the absolute minimum we can expect from a professional basketball, and McGrady clearly didn’t do that his last 2 years in Houston.
It's the blame game
Somebody has to take the rap for shit going bad. That’s the culture we live in. It doesn’t matter if it was a concentrated effort of many individuals, one guy has to be the scapegoat.
I firmly believe that the the times that Yao and T-Mac were healthy, the Rockets team overall lacked any amount of discernible depth. Our role players were just plain bad.
"It's on me"
That was a ridiculous claim to make in the first place. It’s a TEAM game. Nobody delivers on their own. For fans to say, oh he didn’t deliver on his promise is ridiculous because that just shows that you believed an impossible promise in the first place. And if by chance the Rockets did win, it would be equally stupid to give him all the credit.
hilarious
Bitter much, Tracy?
I plan on writing a T-Mac centric “recap” tomorrow.
I am also thinking of charting the times he actually steps inside the 3-pt line tonight. I put the over/under at “5”.
He turned in quite a nice game
except for his bitter bitter fouls.

Bitter
Who is more bitter? Houston fans or Tmac? If guys like you have the right to be bitter then why not Tmac?
Give him a snickers
I’m surprised this DIVA hasn’t taken this December off. Please don’t compare him to Grant Hill.
by Matthew Gonzales on Dec 8, 2010 5:00 AM CST reply actions
Take time off
If Tmac were such a diva and wanted to take time off, he could have easily done that with the Rockets. Remember? The trouble started when Tmac wanted to return to the court.
What's the problem?
Why is it so bad for Tmac to say that? He did get a lot of the blame for losses in the past. Now he is gone and the team is losing even more. I doubt if there are many of you out there who could resist saying something if you were in his place. Only a few months ago, everyone was so happy we had traded Tmac and got this wonderful deal with the Knicks. All the talk was about how Morey had fleeced the Knicks. Well, Tmac right now at $2 million looks like a bargain compared to Jeffries at $7 million. And the Knicks record currently looks much better than the Rockets’ record. Tmac is not all that good right now. That is just a fact. But there is some hope with him … he MIGHT get better, just like Yao might get better. It could happen. Fans can hold out some hope with Tmac and Yao. Jeffries ain’t getting any better. Nobody has any hope with Jeffries.
