Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors Gamethread - 2/2/10
Please let this man buy the Golden State Warriors. Their fans have suffered enough. Or they haven't. At least Larry would splash out the cash. It's cheaper than building America's Cup super yachts.
Anyhow here's a game thread. Go to town.

unless of course we're making those threes
then it’s all goooooood
Ariza is having an awesome game
I hope this is the beginning of him turning around that looong slump
I'm watching the session premeire for Lost
wanted to watch the game, but got out voted…better win tonight!!
there goes
our 1st quarter double-digit lead. sigh..
always the same story...will we ever hold one of these early leads?
but watching the game makes me think of how amazing aaron brooks would be playing with the warriors/that type of system. not that it would be a great team. but he could sure put up some numbers
We finished up the half well.
Let’s hope for no 3rd quarter collapse.
Also, what’s with one guy on every team just going berserk against us.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
Ellis is averaging about 26ppg, so it’s not like this is a particularly unusual performance for him… yet.
Okay, I've been watching for it tonight.
Remember the lane violation on Brooks last game? Breaking the plane of the FT line before the ball hits the rim/net?
Yeah, well, every free throw shooter has been doing it on every first free throw this game and it hasn’t been called once. Confirms my suspicion that it was a complete ticky-tack call to take us out of the game.
Yes, it's one of those WTF calls, that you only see when they're totally egregious. Brooks' play wasn't.
In fact I’m a believer that you reward clever or heroic play, not whistle it.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
Yao's deliberate miss with a pass to Rafer comes to mind.
Too bad Rafer was the one who caught it…

Wouldn’t surprise me. He’s young and trying to crack the rotation, so he’d be likely to hurry back before he’s ready.
Of course, it could just be he’s having an off night.

Speaking of injuries
Is Brian Cook still injured? We’ll probably need him to show up and play really hard and chuck up tons of 3s tonight.
Minnesotan Rockets fan
So, was Andris Biedrins just totally ineffective?
I mean, he’s only got two fouls and 25 minutes of playing time…
Pretty much everyone but Ellis has been ineffective tonight.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
seriously, those t-mobile trivia challenges
are jynxing our players every single time.
I didn't post it, but my gut feeling on AirBud was 6pts, 32%.
All he needs now is a free throw… ;)

Arg! The Gorilla Dunk was RIGHT THERE.
Stupid refs.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
Ariza 5 for 5 from the line..
Amazing! That should have been the trivia question..
Hopefully he can keep it up
I think all but one of those FTs rattled around before going in though. So don’t worry, he still can’t shoot ’em.
Nice game from Ariza anyway.
Of course not. I want that 110% I hear athletes talk about.
I want to see him score 5.5 points on 5 free throws before I’m satisfied.
