Also, Kyle Lowry saw Shutter Island last night and figured it our early on.
He’s continuing to rehab and is sick of being hurt as well.

haha funny comments about Battier

That was good - he's saying all the right things.
And I have a feeling he means it about Battier. Scorers don’t like to face him.

They’re ecstatic about getting McGrady (who has 12 points and 3 rebounds)…i give it 2 weeks before they’re sick of him

Nah, an effective McGrady is not something you get tired of.
He’s filling up the scoresheet tonight. Can he do it the next game? Maybe so. I honestly hope he does well. It was obviously over here, but he’ll do his best to come back and make us look bad. And Morey himself said it, McGrady could make us look bad.
12pt/2rb/3ast/1stl – plus 2 TO – 5-10 shooting, but 0-2 from three.

Yeah McGrady is having a ridiculously good game offensively. He isn’t playing D at all though, surprise surprise.

good for NY to have a dilemma
will they re-sign TMac or go for two max?
I just don't know if they can do 2 Max deals and field a basketball team.
And I honestly think they’ll be lucky to get 1. And then pay TMac about $9 million.

How is Martin as a ballhandler/passer?
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
I'd say average
He has come out passing the ball much better this season. He can handle the ball the ball if needed but he’s definitely better running through screen trying to get open.

That's what I thought.
But it’s good to ask people who watch a player a lot. For instance, you wouldn’t think that in a pinch Budinger could bring the ball up, but he could.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
he's willing
but he’s not a gifted court vision / playmaking guy.
He’s NBA average or slightly better as a ball handler I’d say for a shooting guard.
What we've got here is, failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach.
That's fine.
We often think that Brooks would be best with an SG that’s a great passer (like McGrady for example not that they got much time on the court together), so I had hoped Martin could do that too.
But no complaints, we have an honest to God scoring SG. It’s fantastic.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.

Yeah, prepare STR for the onslaught. Of course we won't break the thread like Portland.

Kevin's taken a couple of bad shots
and missed a few he normally makes. We still haven’t seen a patented Kevin points explosion yet, since he came back from injury. Once he gets comfortable, he’s a pretty special scorer.

i want to see him take it in and get those fouls if he's missing his outside shots
maybe he put in a lot of shooting before the game, that’s why he’s shooting short
he's been shooting short since he got back from the injury
He is still working on getting his shots more consistent.
Once they practice a few times this lineup will be great.
I think Martin’s presence is going to change the team’s style of play significantly. In the sense that we will run a lot more half-court perimeter stuff.
Is there anyway we can actually sign Temple after his 10-day contract is up?

Aaron was actually a pretty solid playmaker tonight.
I went to the game tonight with friends (couldn’t miss the premiere), and here are some thoughts:
1. No joke, K-Mart can get to the line like crazy, his shooting was both bad and inefficient (lots of mid-range jumpers), but that’ll get better I’m sure after a couple practices. He did, however, stuff the stat sheet. 3 steals, 5 assists, 6 rebounds. If he can put up numbers even close to that on the season, this will be awesome for us.
2. Scola is going to be great, I think, over the next 30 or so games. I honestly didn’t get why he wouldn’t get 4th Q minutes in the Landry-centric 4Q era, but he was pretty solid tonight and he should be averaging something to the tune of 20-10 in 36 minutes.
3. Ariza had a great game, and was very efficient, and I really think it’s gonna continue now that he won’t feel the offense will be as dependent on him. 11 shots, I can dig that. Plus 60% from beyond the arc. Chip in 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and a steal, and that is golden.
4. This, in all honesty, was a great, great game for us on the offensive end overall; however, our defense was nothing short of awful. I don’t even know if awful is sufficient enough of a word to describe what happened. Indiana’s pick-and-roll game shredded us in the second half, and it was ridiculously frustrating to watch. When the Rockets stepped up on defending the roll man, they started kicking out for 3s that eventually started falling at a ridiculous clip. I don’t know if the integration of Jeffries and Armstrong into the lineup / the return of Lowry will make a huge impact, but we need it to [on the defensive end].
Wafer . . . again. (Marv Albert, HOU v. CLE Feb 2009)
