Any trade suggestions? Leave your trade scenarios.
So on my last post some people disagreed with my suggestion for Al Jefferson so if anyone here has a smarter scenario that actually has a chance to happen let me know...............leave them in a comment. Keep in mind we need a wing and or a shot blocking 5. Ariza and Hayes are ok but we need more than ok rite now. Three point shooting and defending the paint are our biggest problems. Bring out the suggestions people......

Rockets dream trade
The Rockets send Tmac, Cook, and Scola to the Wiz for Butler, Mike Miller, and Haywood. They then turn Butler to Sac-town for Kevin Martin, as this gives the Kings the true SF that they need with Tyreke. Then, they trade Mike Miller and Lowry to Philly for Iguadala, this clears salary cap space for Philly, while giving them the much needed point guard to go with Iverson, Thaddeus Young, Brand, and Dalembert. The Rockets starting lineup would be 1- Brooks 2-Kevin Martin 3-Iggy 4-Landry, and 5-Haywood. You still have Ariza, Battier, and Budinger backing up the wings, and Chuck to back up Landry and Haywood. When Yao comes back next season, you then have Haywood backing him up, and Chuck backing up Landry. You have great outside shooting from Brooks and Martin, athleticism with Iggy and Landry, and the defensive presence with Haywood. The Wiz are willing to do that trade if you give them Scola, and you may have to be willing to give up Budinger and/or Battier to the Kings and Philly to make sure they are getting the pieces they need, but I’m ok with that.
Obiously I know there is NO WAY that this trade could ever actually be completed, as there are just too many moving parts, but it’s just a dream scenario.
Iggy without Dalembert (or McGrady, for that matter)
Philly doesn’t just want expiring contracts, they want value back as well; and Morey is understandably very hesitant to take Dalembert’s contract (even more understandable if Dorsey keeps playing like he just did).
So how about a Battier-centered trade? Don’t know what exact form it would take. Very best case, probably something like Battier + Cook + Taylor for Iguodala. If that doesn’t work, maybe throw in a draft pick, and/or… (and I cringe to suggest it) replace Cook with Scola or Lowry.
There’s a lot to like about this kind of deal; the advantages to the roster should be obvious, but financially, we’re also left with a little cap space for an inexpensive roleplayer this off-season, or alternatively we could deal McGrady’s contract for a different package and get something done now.
battier is still very under-rated though
plus, he brings a lot of intangibles to our team, such as leadership and helping the rookies (and younger players) adjust to our system. i just can’t see him leave, in the middle of the season. don’t get me wrong though, i want iggy, but i don’t want to lose battier.

If Philly does want value, we could give him Scola
The salaries of Dalembert /Iggy and T-Mac/Scola/Cook/Dorsey/Taylor would work for a trade. I think all of these Rockets’ players have expiring contracts with Dorsey/Taylor as good future prospects. Dalembert only has 1 season left on his contract after this year(half season over already) which would make him trade bait and desirable next season by other teams, so Morey should go for him in a trade along with Iggy.
I really believe the Rockets are only 1-2 GOOD players away from dethroning the Lakers. They don’t even need another superstar. Players like Iggy and Dalembert will take them to the next level.
Or giving up Battier would be fine
since Iggy , a good defensive guy, could be our other perimeter defender against guys like Kobe. We still have Ariza to do that also.
To clear things up, i meant
Dalembert/Iggy/Kapono for T-Mac/Battier/Cook/Dorsey /Taylor to make salaries close. If they don’t want Battier, than Scola would take his spot instead, but not both.
Let's take a look
Wiz – Hou – NYK 3 teams
Butler trade is still the best
the 3 team trade involving NY, Houston and Washington is still the best
I mean getting Caron Butler and Haywood for T-mac would be a dream scenario for the Rockets. They replace Mac with another all-star in Butler who would actually fit better in Aldeman’s system. Getting a rebounder and shot blocker in Haywood would be exactly what the Rockets need SIZE. Now they can actually bring Ariza or Battier off the bench with Landry, this team would definitely get in the playoffs. I don’t think they would do anything in the postseason but at least they won’t be on the outside looking in. And when or if Yao comes back next year, they can package a deal using Ariza, Battier, and Cook to get a shooting guard or wing player. This is the best deal if it all goes through. Caron Butler is an unselfish star that doesn’t demand the ball on every play, he would fit great with Brooks and Yao (when he comes back). Plus he could shoot way BETTER then Ariza
