Game 59: Raps @ Rox

Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets, Mar 1, 2010 7:30 PM CST

Trevor's a GTD, Lowry's still injured, Battier will presumably play. Maybe the defense will be un-putrid tonight. Calderon's out for Toronto.

what’s up with all the empty seats behind the teams benches??

by fullo91 on Mar 1, 2010 7:45 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Monday night game - Nobody in Houston cares about the Raptors - People arrive late.

It’s too bad you can’t really see the upper bowl – usually full and loud. It’s the pricey seats that are often empty.

by Tisbee on Mar 1, 2010 10:32 PM CST up reply actions

i think his strength besides the post is the mid-range jumper.

he has been hitting that pretty well. the reason people compare him to bosh is for a couple reasons but the main one besides his potential and what not is his mid-range jumper. besides dirk, bosh has the best mid range jumper for a PF in the league. if hill can consistently make that 16, 17 foot jump shot, he is in great shape. when you hit a shot from that far, you have got some touch, which will carry over to the post game. bosh is relentless on the boards and so far from what ive seen hill is putting some good hustle into rebounding.

by xNevermind on Mar 1, 2010 11:54 PM CST up reply actions

yea i have to agree.

if wade does not go to chi town bosh is definitely going there. even without bosh they are a good team. bosh has to be drawn there by derrick rose. not by a scoring point guard and a shooting guard who dominate the shots taken by the rockets. if not chicago, i can see the knicks spending a crap load of money on him and he accepting it. i can’t think of anyone else that we need really. i would say joe johnson, but we have martin now. of course it is still possible for a sign-and-trade so i have no idea what our plans are.

Keep in mind that Derrick Rose is just as much of a score-first point guard as Brooks and he may actually dominate the ball even more.

by OremLK on Mar 3, 2010 7:10 AM CST up reply actions

rose can have 10 assists a bit easier than aaron can.

i agree that he does dominate the amount of shots taken by chicago, but we have 2 guys dominating the shots taken in each possesion. and when yao comes back(and assuming scola does) we have 4 first option players (scola can be a first, better second option though). unless bosh is willing to play team ball and he understands that he has the best center in the game and two of the best guards on the team, then he would fit in.(this is of course we sign and trade, we have 0 cap space open to us.)
