He says all the right things.
I noticed he was equivocal on the NBA, but who can blame him? He plays for Madrid now, and is signed next year. If we get a seasoned Spanish league player at 23, instead of 22 in 2011-2012 that’s ok, although I’d like to see him sooner.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
Considering how the cap makes dificult to stockpile enough quality players to be a championship contender...
it´s better to bring euro players as much ready as possible, so they can contribute from the start while they remain in their rookie contracts. That´s even more important with euro guards.
I wouldn’t read too much into it. He’s playing in Spain right now, I don’t think he’s going to talk about how lame Spain is compared to the NBA. If you just went with things people say in interviews, Carmelo Anthony would have stayed at Syracuse for four years.
