Luis Scola scores 44 points on 20-25 shooting, pulls down 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. That's notable. You'd think someone outside the Houston media circle, opposing team media and the wire services might mention it. You'd think.

You'd be wrong. (At least right now. Maybe there's more in Argentina.)

you shouldn't think

because the fact of the matter is this, NO 1 OUTSIDE OF HOUSTON GIVES A DAMN ABOUT DA ROCKETS. i know its frustrating but what can we do about it? it will remain like this indefinatly.

I think that's the case about most teams

minus the Lakers, Cavs, and maybe Celtics, no? Besides, we give a hell of a damn about the Rockets and that’s all that matters.

Scola, with incandescent hands

I hope that doesn’t keep him out of tonight’s game. Sounds painful.

Oh no, incandescent hands are awesome.

The ladies love them. Or so I’m told.

Isn't this a good thing?

Not that I think that GMs would miss his standout performances, but don’t we want as little attention as possible drawn to Scola’s awesomeness until we get his contract signed?

Scola

was mentioned on the Basketball Jones today, and on ESPN for a little bit.

Wafer . . . again. (Marv Albert, HOU v. CLE Feb 2009)

Lazy. They should have done it sooner.

It’s the way the sites work – stuff that happens in the Saturday game barely exists.

If you are referring to the Basketball Jones

They only do a show Mon-Fri. So today was the soonest they could get to it.

What's up with the Jones, anyways?

I don’t watch them for a few weeks, and all of a sudden Skeets is no longer on BDL and they’re in some fancy newsroom. TBJ sold out, man.

by Only_A_Lad on Mar 15, 2010 10:27 PM CDT up reply actions

I know, I was surprised at that.

I also find it hard to get through a regular TBJ cast – I really prefer to read stuff – it’s much easier to skip meandering.

No, I really wasn't in particular.

But I am referring to the M-F schedule for a lot of league commentary – I’m glad TBJ did a piece, but most of the other stuff that came out earlier pretty much decided saturday didn’t happen, for any games.
