Divided Focus...and some Rockets/Celtics Thoughts
Thank goodness that CBS is streaming the NCAA tournament online, otherwise I don't know what I'd do with myself tonight.
Houston Cougars vs Maryland Terps at 8:40pm
Celtics at Rockets at 7:30pm
On one hand, I gotta support my college team (go Coogs!) but on the other end, this is potentially a big game tonight for the Rockets. So yeah, with that aside, here's some thoughts to the Rockets game tonight.
1.) We're going to get to see 2 of the more underrated PG's in the NBA go head-to-head in Rajon Rondo and Aaron Brooks. Both guys do it differently; Brooks is more of a pure scorer where as Rondo is more of a playmaker for the Celtics. Either way, whomever wins the battle at the point will go a long way to determining the winner of this game.
2.) Luis Scola is playing like a man possessed lately. Its like he's been ON FIRE lately. I love what I'm seeing from this Argentine, and I hope it continues against Kevin Garnett and the Celts defense. Controlling the interior will go a long way towards winning this game.
3.) I'm looking at the Ray Allen vs. Kevin Martin and the Trevor Ariza vs. Paul Pierce matchups tonight. Should be exciting. Also, look for Shane Battier to get some time checking Pierce tonight.
4.) Jordan Hill continues to impress. I didn't see the Memphis game on Wednesday but Hill continues to show growth and lots of potential. We FLEECED NEW YORK. Man, getting their 09, 11 and 12 picks was a STEAL guys. A Yao/Scola/Hill 3-headed monster next year, with mixes of David Andersen and Chuck Hayes (for matchup purposes) is going to be awesome.
5.) Oh, and of course there's always this: Kyle Lowry, please keep your promise and play tonight. We NEED you.
So how is everyone feeling about the game(s) tonight?
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

i feel good about the rockets winning but
i got my eyes on UH v. Maryland with 2 of the top seniors in the country facing off and likely guarding each other. The match-up between Greivis Vasquez and Aubrey Coleman will be a classic and underrated game within the game. I love both teams to death so i can’t pic a winner but i am just looking for a good game.
the only reason he is is because
he is playing with 3 future Hall of Famers and his job as a point guard is relativly easy: just get the big 3 the ball
If the Raps was willing to trade Bosh for Hill and those three 1st round picks
would you guys do this trade during the summer?

I wouldn't
I like Hill, and those 3 first round pick’s are valueable.Plus Hill’s relatively cheap these next few year’s.Now going back to the draftpick’s, I’d like to see what Morey could turn them into player wise before I traded them.
Problem is it would be have to be more than that to make salaries match.
I’d say something like Hill, Shane, Jeffries, one of the New York picks and say our second rounder would be fair for Bosh.
Minnesotan Rockets fan
Fair?
Are you kidding? It makes the money match maybe but that is not fair. That is 3 dogs and a couple of picks for a super star. What does Toronto really get? They get the draft picks and have to hope for some luck. So far, Hill hasnt done anything. Shane is getting old and has a big contract. Jeffries has shown he is a dog and has a big contract. This is all nonsense and Toronto would just laugh. But Bosh is leaving Toronto anyway .. he is a free agent this summer and will end up in NJ or NY probably.
Toronto may well end up getting nothing.
Bosh in unrestricted. So we’re talking sign and trade – to get Bosh “hometown” max money, and Toronto gets something for that. But what? A kings ransom to pay a guy a max deal? Really?
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
hmm
i would Yao,Bosh,Ariza,Martin,Brooks Starting 5
Hayes. Chase, Klo7,Anderson,Armstrong,Who’s Ur Daddy Battier,201o draft pick
Forgot about the Jeffries Contract
Yao/Bosh/Ariza/Martin/Brooks with Hayes/AirBud/Lowry/Andersen/Shane/Jeffries/2010 1st rounder

In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.
thats one scary team
best center in the game,
best pf
legit sf who can excell on defense because lets be real offence wont really be a worry
super efficent sg
scoring dynamo pg
a bench that has hays as a defensive stopper.
lowry one of the best backups in the game.
anderson

shane.
super defensive second unit. i would have to think that someone there would be traded for some more offense. that or
someone from the starting unit would have to be moved back..
