Shane Battier's MRI this morning indicated an MCL sprain in his left knee. He's expected to miss a minimum of 10 days to two weeks.
This is great news, as most of us thought he would be out for the season. The problem I see with this is that we face the Lakers on Saturday, and with Shane being out we don't have a strong chance of containing Kobe. I do realize that Ariza has become a great defensive player, but I think that Shane was a great Kobe-Stopper. I remember reading a stat somewhere that showed Kobe's best defenders (whoever made him shoot the lowest FG%) and Shane was number two, (with Tayshaun being number 1).
Other games include: Bulls, Thunder, Clippers, San Antonio, and Washington.
How do you think this affects us?
