Reason for cut
According to Adrian Wojnarowski’s Twitter:
Kings cut Joey Dorsey largely for clownish behavior, source says. They don’t consider him bad guy, but coaches feared his act rubbing off.

That's funny.
I was watching a Kings game a few weeks back to see how Landry was fitting in, and posting on Sactown Royalty. I remember watching Dorsey and Tyreke together laughing, and posted something like
“Evans and Dorsey seem pretty friendly already. Those two could get into some serious trouble together. I’d be worried.”
I’ll just pat myself on the back now for calling that.

I thought that being friends with your team's star player usually meant you were LESS likely to get cut.
Not more likely.
I guess it depends on your hobbies. And maybe they wanted to nip it in the bud.
