i know. they won't give us any calls when kings push us

also rockets getting owned on Offensive glass courtesy of Carl

Pathetic

TWENTY-ONE offensive rebounds for the Kings. It’s pretty much saving them as they’re barely shooting over 30%, but they’ve taken TWENTY-SIX more shots than us. Wow. Landry has been very good.

What a horrible loss

All 24 of their offensive rebounds were huge. Bet Landry and Dorsey are feeling pretty good.

Oh, and T-Mac had 21pts, 7 boards, 8 assists, and led the team with a +/- of +27 in a blowout win over Detroit.

Size mattered tonight, we got manhandled on the boards

we pickedup deense at the end to even have a chance but this is not the way we want to play.

great homecoming for Carl though. we are already missing him

I'm tired of this shit

Brooks is NOT a closer!!!
We have Kevin fucking Martin
why are we still letting him have the ball for the last play of the game??

K-Money needs to bitch slap him and demand the ball in this situations, and RA should bitch slap him too and not let him take 13 fucking 3pters if he misses 5 in a row

KM needs space to launch his three

With the KIngs all too familiar with his game, he was controlled tonight.

I would still go for the shots that Aaron took, but the thing is he only got a few minutes of rest because Conroy cannot ball.

Shane as usual superb job on Evans

First Rockets game I get to watch this season....

I was able to watch the second half of this game. Disappointing. Coming out of halftime the team was absolutely sluggish on both sides of the ball. The only reason we stayed in the game at that point was Battier, who was the catalyst for anything good that happened; blocks, steals, making the smart pass, and playing lock down D on Evans. Even after the energy picked up towards the end of the 3rd quarter, they just couldn’t close the gap.

by respectable on Mar 3, 2010 10:21 PM CST reply actions

We really need Lowry back now

Because Conroy is goddamn awful. Temple was serviceable, and had uses, but I understand why we didn’t resign him. But Jesus, Conroy sucks.

Oh well, we have Trevor back the next game. Hopefully that does something good.

yeah, poor game all around, we were lucky to get a chance at the end

We were badly outrebounded, RA didn’t even try HIll to get ore boards. JJ did a creditable job on D. RA also didn’t put DA back in

What did Tom say--PATIENCE

We’re just seeing who we are and how we play the remaining games. BUT next year we will be a different team once more when we try to get that star PF to team up with Yao

I'll admit right now just now I'm plain pissed with our never ending injury woes.

Lowry’s been out for a month now because of goddamn scrub Willie Green, and we’ve been utter crap without him, Trevor aggravates his hip, and of course the big guy who’s out and so on and so on. I’m sick and tired of this, and utterly convinced we could have made playoffs were it not for this BS fluke stuff happening again and again.

One positive that might come out of it....

Is a stronger defense. Without Ariza and Lowry, and going through a few blowout losses, the rest of the team has had to step up defensively. While one game doesn’t make a trend, the defensive held up very nicely tonight, and bodes well for the future once Lowry and Ariza return.

Tough loss and Kevin was terrible

What an ugly game. Time you you guys to go on a 10 game win streak.

was at the game

with my isreali flag…

anyway the game was terribly boring to watch from about after the 1st timeout in the 1st (they showed a video for tribute to landry) till about 4 minutes left…i wouldnt mind AB taking that shot at the end except for the fact he wasn’t hitting tonite. I would have rather had Martin (who we traded for for this reason) or Budinger shooting that 3…

Anyway the reffing was pretty iffy and not to good, but we just got frikken manhandled on the Glass tonite…

by EveryHoustonTeamRox! on Mar 3, 2010 10:54 PM CST reply actions

anyway the infamous stats...

All of our bench was a plus, everyone in the starting lineup was a minus in the +/- category tonite for the rockets…Brooks goes 9-25 tonite including 2-13 from 3 (13 threes!!!) and 2-4 from FT line ….Martin went 3-13 and 1-4 from 3, and 7-8 from FT line…

so with those 2 lines…normally all those FT’s from both woulda went in (which makes it a tie again) and normally they dont shoot that terribly…

this loss is an upsetting one but you can’t overreact to this loss…Sac is a solid young team. We dont have ariza or lowry and a sick battier…We got killed on boards and didnt shoot to well…your not gonna shoot lights out like you did against the raps every night

by EveryHoustonTeamRox! on Mar 3, 2010 11:04 PM CST reply actions

also during shootaround

bud and hill were havin like a 3 pt contest and hill was draining 3’s bttr than bud…

Pathetic.

We shouldn’t have gotten rid of Carl Landry. Period. The End. That is all. Just pathetic.

by UHoustonFan on Mar 3, 2010 11:25 PM CST reply actions

I hate that we got rid of Landry, but I agree with the trade.

Scola wasn’t the problem tonight.

Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.

by Xiane on Mar 4, 2010 12:29 AM CST up reply actions

Yeah, Scola is a beast.

And we needed a scorer like Martin.

The missing piece right now is simply a big, shot-blocking, rebounding center to anchor the lineup on both ends. In other words… Yao.

by OremLK on Mar 4, 2010 4:06 AM CST up reply actions

How long until Yao gets hurt again, though?

The problem I forsee for the Houston Rockets is Yao’s high likelihood of the same type of injuries. How much longer do you build a team around a player who quite frankly might never again be able to finish an entire season without breaking his foot? I love the guy, but I mean lets be realistic here.

by UHoustonFan on Mar 4, 2010 1:15 PM CST up reply actions

Sure, but what's the alternative?

Yao, like Dwight Howard, is simply not a fungible commodity in the NBA. He’s a unique talent, and he’s on the books next year anyway, so there isn’t much to do but try again with more pieces to help him.

For whatever it’s worth, Ilgauskas has been much much healthier since a similar surgery.

Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
