Chronicle: Yao Cleared For More Workouts

Really, really, really good news today. Yao Ming has passed a major checkpoint with flying colors.

An extensive physical on Yao's repaired and restructured left foot on Thursday, long considered an important milestone in his comeback, showed the rehabilitation progressing well, clearing Yao to move to more extensive running and on-court workouts.

"We reviewed his most recent bone scans and they indicate the healing is continuing at the expected rate," Rockets athletic trainer Keith Jones said. "He's right where he should be with regards to his rehab.

I'm tellin' ya, he's going to come back strong. Just wait.

I like

that he’s recovering on pace but I certainly don’t think it’s cause for jubilation just yet. He’s on pace, which means it shouldn’t be a huge surprise he is at where he is currently. Though I haven’t read the article but based on what’s provided here it’s non-news that he’s on schedule. I am hopeful and I do look forward to hearing how he makes out in this more extensive work out now though. If those go well, I’m fully impressed and pumped.

I'm always right, this isn't conjecture, merely statement of fact.

Sure, it means little in the short term

but remember, this is Yao Ming. Oft-injured, 7-foot-6, “there’s never been anyone like him the NBA” Yao Ming.

Any news that isn’t bad regarding Yao is good to me.

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

In that case

Yao doesn’t have AIDS. Let us celebrate.

Then..

what is the next non-news for us to celebrate? I’m looking at a barbecue for this occasion.

Nice

I’m optimistic but not confident just yet until he starts playing against other players without any problems,
