Earl Barron, a low cost, potentially high yield big man?
What do you all think about the possibility of the Rockets signing of Earl Barron. He played for the Knicks last year and had a number of very productive games. He averaged 11 points and 11 rebounds last year in limited action. (His career has been otherwise undistinguished.) With tutoring from Jack Sikma and the other Rockets bigs, he might be a very good pickup. He is only 27 years old and could offer a low cost player to help backup Yao and Miller.

27? His info say he's about to be 29 in two and a half weeks

that what Earl is, journey man big man, solid if given time in the right system but otherwise nothing special
He might be a guy to keep an eye on
inseason, as a trade target. But only if its worst case scenario with Yao.
The player I would like least at #9 would be my sister’s cat, Captain Creamsicle. She does have a great work ethic and agility, but I’m really concerned that at 9 lbs., she’s too small to play safety in the NFL. She also bites way too often on play action and is easily distracted by someone waving string in the crowd. Lastly, her wonderlic score was pretty awful, answering "meow meow meow" for most of the questions- Dr. Brackish Okun
