Espn is reporting that the Nets have interest in Luis Scola. How could they not be after the way he destroyed them for 44 points on the road last season. I don't know what you guys think about this but, maybe a sign and trade? Aaron Brooks and Scola for Devin Harris and Terrence Williams? Maybe later on trade Battier for a second rounder to make room for Williams to play? I don't know I'm just throwing that out there. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/17818/the-nets-plan-b

First one is a bad trade in my opinion
Scola and Brooks fit in way more here in Houston than Harris and Williams

yeah...battier for a first rounder maybe....
the guy is still close to an allstar in my book. last season’s injuries aside the guy is great for team chemistry and identity, good spot shooter and defense.
defense baby defense, got to have it, is hard to find players willing to commit to playing it, got to have it
sign miller and do the trade for Chandler
awesome…if Chandler is expiring anyway it is MUCH better than Jefferies…
but i still think signing miller helps as well with Chandler:
Miller is cheap and knows aldeman and can spread the floor…perfect for hunting LA

the rockets were not afraid of anyone of the elite teams

i am totally with you on the Scola-Brooks proposal but really no on Jefferies for Chandler.
Chandler is not the best center out there but he has decent D, shot blocking etc…and can at least dunk the ball easily around the rim…Jefferies give us good D but that is all…and this way we still have Ariza and Battier…both of which I hope we keep

that might be the weakest link on the team if that happens but it damn sure isnt a weak position.
With Battier,Ariza, and Bud
we are deep at the three, not weak. They all fit in well with our team.

i see
bud as more of a 2 than 3 and battier is only good on defense and can sometimes knock down the 3.. ariza is really are only threat at both ends of the court
Bud does not guard
shooting guards well enough to play the two, and Taylor is Martins backup. Thays why they fit our team so well cause thats all we need Battier and Ariza to do,play good d and hit the open shot.

we really dont have backups we have rotations
on paper we have backups but in the actual game bud will come in for martin sometimes while ariza or battier are in. sometimes ariza and battier are in when martin and bud sit down.

guard 2 or 3s.. and your saying bud is gonna back up shane who is gonna be backing up ariza? i highly doubt that cuz if thats the case he will barely see any playing time.. the reason he got playing time last season is cuz he would come in when kmart was out resting..it might say taylor is backing up kmart right now but thats not tgonna be the case
I still believe
Battier or Ariza will be traded. And Martin arrived with less then two months left in the season, so Bud was not backing him up for the majority of the season. Taylor is improving, and they will give him a chance, because our owner did not spend that money too draft him,to not give him a good chance.

is another one of our SF.. i doubt they would have 4 SF and only 2 SG but it makes more sense to have 3 of each

and you are what you play like and he plays like a SF. He just has PF size. Lebron is 6’8 260 and if you saw his size on paper you would automatically think PF until you see his style of play and that ultimately determines your true position. That doesn’t mean one can’t have the versatility to play another position.

So Jeffries is basically forced to play PF because of his size. Even if he plays it like a SF.

doesnt make you your position.. jefferies even played SF for the knicks.. hes not really strong as a PF is suppose to be but he is real versitile for his size

Scola and Brooks are the two best players in that trade.
