Shot into the dark..

So I have been busy and distracted the past couple of weeks and only checking in every couple of days but from all I have seen, read etc...How about these ideas:

1) Melo: not coming here, whether the Nuggets wanted too much to do the deal, or the Rockets just weren't that interested that deal is not happening brining him here.  NJ looks like the home for Melo and thank god for that.  For all his wining I just think he care more about the city he plays in than winning.  To hell with that, we want to win, not just sell tickets and have a "star" with the ego the size of NYC.  We are better off with Martin and Battier starting than Melo and Lee starting.

2) Randolf: Is he better than Scola?  Scola is a beast.  He loves being a Rocket and it shows.  He kicked ass in the Worlds and is awesome in every way.  Is Randolf that much better? or even potentially could be better?  Take Raldolf  over Hill?  OK maybe. I am not convinced that Hill has unlimited upside.  He is quick, with good height and rebounding.  Those don't grow on trees but what is Randolf paid to have him backup Scola.  This seems like maybe not the best idea unless all it costs us is a draft pick and Jefferies or something like that.

3) Iggy: I really like the idea of Iggy in Rocket's red.  I know most people on this site do too.  With all this Melo talk, Iggy was offered for Melo IF Melo signs an extension to play 3 years in Philly.  Not going to happen...thank god, but I think Morey should really look at the possibility of swinging Hill and the draft picks into some deal that maybe gives us Raldolf, but I doubt we could get Iggy in any deal involving Melo.  Denver wants Iggy for Melo...so no Iggy for Houston.  This makes me sad.

So I guess this post may be worthless but I haven't been active for a while and needed some Rockets rush.

At the end of the day screw Melo and his one dimenstional game.  He is the underperforming bastard stepchild of the 03 draft, and is too lazy to really work for it.  We don't need that.  We need Martin and Battier going all out to win.

Our team kicks ass.  Miller and Yao will heal.  Martin will average 28 a game this season and Yao will treat Howard like the little bitch he is...and as he has done every other season they have played against each other.  I just think Houston centers are so used to trashing Magic (and Knick) centers throughout all of time.
