What are you willing to give for 'Melo?

It seems to me that through all the speculation and talk, very few (beyond this blog) have actualy wondered what it would take for the Rockets to acquire Anthony, as if were he offered, it would be a foregone conclusion that we would surrender any and all assets to facilitate a deal. I wonder if such is the case, so i have decided to through a poll out there and see what came of it......have at it

Entei who I just caught on Poke’mon Heartgold yesterday. (and Jared Jeffries). Yea, forreal. And we all know how much of a hassle it is to track that fucker down..

I picked the first option assuming we could resign Battier

If not, we’d still have Budinger. I think you could also give Kevin Martin if you had to but only because we have Lee now. Of course if you did that you’d probably have to have JR Smith back even though the only reason you take him is to hav a somewhat serviceable backup at SG. I don’t really liek him all that much though.

The first option of Battier-Jefferies would be the best

Melo/Budinger would be a fun combo of SF. I think with Battier still around he would get frustrated with Carmelo taking up major minutes. But I don’t think Denver would bite on that deal without both first round picks and maybe even that trade exception. And then we might have to take on JR Smith.

Let me ask you guys, do you think Shane is happy here? Does he want a trade or does he want to stay. I know he is always supportive of his team no matter how he feels he won’t ever make a scene or throw a fit. But it seems to me he was not happy here last year. I can’t put my finger on it but his body language on court and in interviews led me to believe he wanted out. Might of had to do with Ariza, I don’t know. Maybe he’s just crazy. But If he wants out, Denver would be an awesome team for him. He would continue to do very well there.

There was about a billion posts on this already (a ton from me I am sure too) and it is just tired.

That dog has been hit, shot, cut, drowned, kicked and burned…its dead.

I voted nothing…team is great the way it is. Melo may add some O that we don’t need.

Hmmm not too sure if this was where i saw this going but.....

not exactly fair to say i posted this when the subject was dead as i waited to freak out untill i heard something better than Woj’s lone-wolf claims. I guess if the first time a rumor gets breathed its best to jump all over it and draw inane conclusions as to what may actually transpire. I posted this a day after john hollinger was caught tweeting that if melo were to end up in any other uniform this next season, his bet would be houston’s, as we can give AB to CHA, send Dampier (and his massive non-guarenteed contract) to Denver, and replace a 5’10’’ wing scorer with a 6’7’’ one. Perhaps if i had spent all waking hours following talk-radio hosts in the moments after this hit i wouldnt have been left out in the cold…..
I would also like to throw in a pack of lucky strikes into the pot, for anyone who can come up with something that is more entertaining at this point in the year (excluding team USA’s immenent FIBA victory)

Melo would make us better. Its ok to not talk about it if you dont want to, but please be realistic. Subtract Ab and add Melo and we are by far a way better team.

I mean dont create a post asking this specific question when there is really not much more information. Hollinger’s article was his speculation not really new info.

I’m totally fine with whoever we trade for melo as long it’s not Scola or Yao(maybe Kmart, but if they sweeten the pot), but when the rumor came out several post were created on this, and really it was redundant, and it’s still redundant to speculate
