You own Super 3 team

So the offseason is about to end and we have a whole month of no NBA before the preseason starts. So lets do something here

If u could make ur own big 3, who would they be and.....

who would u have in your supporting cast.

rules...the big 3 can be anyone ( and please none of stupid rockets biased comments like yao, martin, and brooks) in the top 15 players

the supporting cast must be role players from this offseason that had that had they same contracts they signed.( so no signing all starts for vets min)

the big 3 will all have max contracts and cannot go beyond the luxary tax threshold.

have fun

mine will be

CP3, Kevin Durant, and Dwight

supporting cast = anthony morrow , roger mason, kurt thomas, louis admounson, theo ratliff, jannero pargo, michael finley,  dominic mcguire, sheldon williams and anthony carter

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

Jason Kidd, Terrence Williams, Shaq, T-Mac, Iverson, Jerry Stackhouse, Larry Hughes, Ronny Turiaf, Chase Budinger, Jermaine Taylor, Steve Blake.

If anyone is wondering, yes I would have Dirk at the 3. With Yao, Pau, Shaq, and Turiaf in there I would put anyone out there on the perimeter because I won’t have to worry about lay ups. Best interior defense in history and scorers to back up the D.

Boykins, Iverson, Robinson

Supporting players, Aaron Brooks, Ishmael Smith, bring back Spud Webb and Mugsy Bogues. DON’T SCREW WITH TEAM MIDGET.

I'm always right, this isn't conjecture, merely statement of fact.

Lots of speed

But they wouldn’t get layups over my frontline. You guys would have ti fast break all game, but wait, no one is tall enough to get a rebound lol.

Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol

with supporting players: Luis Scola, Aaron Brooks, Brook Lopez, Kyle Lowry, and China’s finest, Yi Jianlian (rofl)

ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Roxbybirth on Sep 9, 2010 5:19 PM CDT reply actions

you BASTARD!

you stole my team!…at least stole my big 3.
It is so sad that two of the three are already on a team to begin with….fucking Memphis!!!!

for all of you Dwight Howard pickers….Pau’s D, while not as good as Dwights, is still very very good and with 7 foot height, and his offense is a billion times better than Dwights.

Kevin Durant….quite frankly the best SF in the game, and definitely the best chemistry player on any team

Kobe: the best player in the game, the best clutch shooter, the best on court general, even though an asshole.

For supporting cast you would need decent PGs and decent but not necc excellent big men, but I would take Lowry at PG, Sun’s Lopez as backup Center, Barnes as backup SF with decent D, Collinson as backup PG, Lee as backup SG also for decent D, Gortat as starting Center, and badass Landry as backup PF…so he and Lowry can reform the energy kickass team once again

Dwight, KD, Lebron

supporting cast: Odom, matt barnes,Nicolus Batum, Tony Allen, Tyreke Evans, John Wall, JJ hickson, ,Brad Miller, Demarcus Cousins, chase.

You have youth. Talent at every position. Unbeatable now, and in the future.
Would have the scoring offense with KD, Lebron and Evans out there.
Top defense with Batum, Allen, Dwight, Lebron out there
Best bench in the world.

Can beat you in transition, can’t be stopped in the half court.
And of course. Phil Jackson as coach.
I think i just jizzed in my pants.

My Big 3 would be

Derrick Rose, Kevin Martin, and Gerald Wallace. At 4 and 5 I’d grab Camby, and Al Horford.

The Bench would have Ben Gordon,John Salmons, Jason Terry, Batum, Gortat, Rudy Fernandez, Udonis Haslem, Tyler Hansbrough , Jason Kapono, and Charlie Villuaneva.

The player I would like least at #9 would be my sister’s cat, Captain Creamsicle. She does have a great work ethic and agility, but I’m really concerned that at 9 lbs., she’s too small to play safety in the NFL. She also bites way too often on play action and is easily distracted by someone waving string in the crowd. Lastly, her wonderlic score was pretty awful, answering "meow meow meow" for most of the questions- Dr. Brackish Okun

You cant beat that

The only Question is how do you want to lose. ;-)

My super team is:

T-Mac in his prime,Yao before his injury, and Kobe. My 4 and 1 position would be Rajon Rondo( cuz he’s a beast) and Shaq in his prime.

by HoustonRockets4Eva on Sep 9, 2010 8:45 PM CDT reply actions

Supporting Cast:

Coach: Rick Adelman.
Bench: Aaron Brooks as PG.
              Ray Allen as SG.
Trevor Ariza as SF.( YES ARIZA)

deron williams, kobe bryant and dwight howard

At 4 I got scola and green as sf. U got playmaking galore, clutdh abiltity and post presence. Not to mentiom 3 point proficency and constant hustle.
Backups would be steph curry, courtney lee, outlaw, channimg fry and gortat.
Well balanced and effecctive I think

by ShookednShanghaied11 on Sep 10, 2010 12:32 AM CDT via mobile reply actions

Mine would be Chris Bosh, LBJ, and Wade

Through in Turiaff, Mike Miller, and some other scrubs and we are ready to go.

by darwithabar on Sep 10, 2010 1:39 AM CDT reply actions

Seriously? Im ok with LBJ and Wade both are terrific players and arugably the best in the game at their position, but

Chris Bosh?
Dont get me wrong he is a fantastic player, but you are going to pick him over the multitude of other choices you have out there?
If you want production from the pf spot Pau Gasol is better for sure. I would even potentially take timmy. Heck Amare’ put up better numbers last year though im not sure i would choose him over bosh. Even Kg when healthy is better.
We are talking about getting to chose anyone you want.
And Chris bosh over guys like Deron Williams, CP3, Dwight doesnt make sense to me.

Whoo 3 guys + rookie contracts

Dwight, Lebron, KD (I have Lebron playing the 1)

Thabo Sefolosha, Brandon Jennings, Stephen Curry, Blake Griffin, Greg Oden, Kevin Love, Marcus Thorton, Marc Gasol.

Yeah, I picked a bunch of people still playing on rookie contracts, and one guy playing on a cheap veteran contract (Sefo). You’d have guys who all get to the free throw line in the Big 3, and even if Dwight goes down w/ foul trouble, I can still get Marc and Oden to come off the bench. I’ve got great defense in those big 3, along with a defensive oriented SG, and a lot of flexibility in my roster, since I can load up big by putting Lebron at the 1, Sefo at the 2, KD at the 3, Love at the 4, and Howard at the 5, or go smallball with Curry and Thorton in the backcourt, with Lebron and KD at the 3 and 4, and Dwight at the 5 (which is still not that small of a roster, hahaha). I also believe that the spacing can be established due to KD’s shooting stroke, Lebron’s passing ability, and Dwight’s necessity for a double team by mostly everyone in the league, (and if he only commands a single team, the rest of the team is good enough to pull through, unlike the Magic). Shooters, rebounders, high FG% guys, no one that’s too detrimental to a locker room, and best of all, depth. The team off the bench could very well tire out and beat other starting teams.

As for the salary cap, assuming that my big 3 signs contracts exactly like Miami’s big 3, I think I’d have enough money to throw at all these rookie contracts. If this wasn’t also clear, getting all those rookies would be nigh impossible through trade, and it’d be impossible to keep all of them after 3 years. Oh well, 3 year dynasty in exchange for blowing up of the bench? I’ll take it.
