I am wondering why we have not basically made any moves all year, with T Will not being a factor,as he continues not to get any minutes. I am not saying Morey has done a bad job, but since the Lakers series, we knew we play hard, but need some healthy bigs down low to contend with the best. None knew Yao would get injured two more times, but this year we have had apple time to get someone to defend the paint. People throw out names of centers we would love to get, but have little chance of getting. I hear Pryz who is as injury prone as Yao, I hear Camby, but with Oden out, Pryz injury prone, and being in the same conference, we wont get him. I hear Nene which would not only improve our defense but improve our offense as well, but I dont think he would resign with us, instead go to a contender. There is Dalembert who will be a free agent, and on a team with a good center. I have thought when we made the Taylor trade for the second round pick we could of got him, but at the time Cousins was being immature, so the Kings may have not wanted to let him go then. But since then Cousins has emerged, Anthony has proven he only wants to go to New York, and with that it cuts the chances Nene will be moved. So why hasnt a Dalembert deal been worked out. He makes the most on the team at 13 mill, and will be a free agent, so I know the kings would like to get something for him, since they gave up Spencer Hawes for Dalembert last year. Has Dalembert said he does not want to come here, we dont know. I would think he would like to be starting on a team that has a way better chance of making the playoffs then the Kings, especially being his contract year. Almost every team we play have 2 or 3 bigs, and we cant get one with all our assets. We have competed in some many games and lost, to win the close games you have have defensive stops, and someone scoring for you in clutch times. Some say its our coach, which its not, because we are scoring over 100 a game and his offense is working.
Getting Scola for a player who does not even play in the NBA was great. Getting Lowry for Alston who had reached his ceiling was also great. Getting the draft picks and Hill for McGrady was also a pretty good job. Even though i like Landrys game more then Scola, we were in need of a two guard. The Jeramine Taylor situation did not make any sense, and i hope T Williams does not end up riding the bench for years like JT. Being that superstars dont sign with us, he has to make moves mainly via trades, so i will cut him some slack. And with the career changing injuries to McGrady and Yao, it made him change his game plan and go to plan b. So knowing this, a trade or two should be made now, instead of putting all our hope of getting a player to sign with us in the offseason.
