I have been a fan of The DreamShake for a good year now. It took me a while to gain any confidence and join, but I fell in love with this site and it's users almost immediately. This site is full of people who know their Rockets, and truly appreciate what Leslie Alexander and DM have brought to this town. Yes, we are not championship caliber. Yes, we are not the most exciting team in the NBA. Yet I have never seen a team try as hard, be as scrappy, or as kind and friendly as my Houston Rockets. And this website seemed to follow in in the ideals I loved about this team. (Plus, any blog that was created to petition for the removal of Rafer Alston is one I will love instantly.)
However, I've noticed lately that things are becoming fickle. Our confidence poll shoots up when we beat up on poor teams. Yet it falls like AK-47 drawing a foul from a gust of wind when we lose to a team that in all honesty, we had no business beating. THIS TEAM IS A .500 TEAM! That's just all there is to it. Until we get a quality big and our youth hits their potential, we will not be chasing a championship. And that's ok with me. Because our guys go out there and scrap and fight for each and every game.
So please, let's stop the trade rumors that involve 20+ players. Let's stop talking about trades that involve my 96 Chevy Venture and some Bubblelicious +AB for the best talent available in the NBA. Stop the moaning. Stop the bitching. Enjoy the show put on each night by our guys. Let's lament together over the loss of Yao, or a devestating loss we should've had. Let's rejoice when we pull out an amazing performance and suprise the retarded ESPN media.
Xiane, Ak2themax, ressaliance, bonecrusher, and a few others, you guys make this blog great. I enjoy reading what each of ya'll post, and some of you guys are downright hilarious at times.
BD34, sometimes man, you are a total asshole. But, you are the funniest, and most correct asshole I've ever met. I appreciate everything you write, it's always far more insightful than anything I've though of lately, and you never fail to make me laugh. Keep it up.
And Tom, as a nerd, I love your stats and things you write. I learn quite a bit from just the posts you create.
To everyone else, this is a Houston Rockets fan blog. This is a place for open ideas, occasional stupidity, and a love for the Rockets franchise. If you have a panic button on your computer, rip it off. This organization is too well run for a need to panic. The ship will get lost at times, and go through rough water. But we are being sailed by a Captian who knows how to keep our ship adrift and moving. Keep yer pants on, and wait for things to improve.
And for those of you who think this post is retarded or unneeded, please feel free to leave a comment for me. I will not give you the pleasure of responding to your comment, yet it may make you feel better and a bit warmer on the inside.
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.
