Previewing The Season That Likely Won't Happen

So, to update you on the news wires: The owners made an offer. It sounds a little silly and has some lousy concessions. The players don't like it. But they have no leverage and that's not going to change, so you might as well kiss the season goodbye.

(Repeat this like, twenty times).

Since the NBA probably WON'T have a season, we at SB Nation figured you should at least have previews for the UnSeason, just to piss everyone off. But hey, why not take a look and see what could have been?

I miss the Rockets

I miss watching basketball every weekday. I miss the excitement of the Rockets, even though they haven’t been great lately. I’m an NBA junkie…i need my fix

So basically the union will look over the proposed

come up with a counter-offer and hope it’s accepted by the NBA? Either way, this upcoming week should be the tell tale as to what the future holds. I’m optimistic, but I’m also getting into college basketball a lot more just in case.

If you can feel them, they are real.

Maybe

I think the most likely best case scenario is that the union makes a few changes to the offer, the owners say, no thanks but we’re close, and they negotiate it out and finish the deal this week.

For those who believe Rockets should waive Scola

The “leaked” offer includes the little tidbit that any player who is waived under the Amnesty provision and signs w/another NBA team who can assume part of his old contract-if they’re under the cap.
In other words if a waived player signs w/a team who assumed part of his contract, that portion gets subtracted from the original contract.

a "disclaimer of interest"

I see this as a small victory… The players can still file for antitrust suit… But I think they really wants to get back to the bargaining table.

If you can feel them, they are real.
