Stop the madness, get off the phone, and walk away. The League, who we will talk more about later has soiled this deal beyond repair. We were all in the first time, it was borderline at best but it did what we have asked Morey to do for years so I was down with it as the deal stood. Gasol ain't worth any more, walk away.
More after the jump, hide the sensitive eyes.
If he is still taking our calls, sign Dalembert to two years at 14 mil. 6.5 this year, and 7.5 next. Yes it's too damn much, we could have likely done better before but that train left the station. The douche-bag driving the train and pretending to run the league has cost us money, it's that damn simple. If a player cut via amnesty gets past us so be it. Once again, the league, (you know who you are), has put us in the worst position possible. Get past it and play this abortion of a season. Next year we will have all our assets and players and lots of options in a better free agent class and draft class. Understand we can shed 19 mil of salary without using amnesty. We swung for the fences, only to have a certain shithead move the damn fences.
Now to the league, who, although I am fluent in profanity, (just ask my wife), shall be referred to as Venezuela. Yes I stole that and posted the link yesterday. Before he decided to turn the NBA into a banana republic, I was often concerned that the league did not have the Rockets best interest at heart. Officials behaved oddly, schedules were less than favorable, and other stuff happened that just made you go hummm. The one good thing to come out of this bs, I don't have to worry about the league fucking us, they already did!
On to what to do. I for one am past mad, time to do something. Demand that Stern leave, now. Not that he will listen, but you have to have demands or nothing else gets taken seriously, (see OWS). Once you do that, put your money where your mouth is. Boycott anything NBA. Don't but any stuff that is licensed, no League Pass, nothing. But Mike, I hear you say, how do I watch games. I will go to those games I want to attend, watch other from local pubs, and if somehow a game should sneak down the wire from this computer to the TV attached to it... The trick is to make the meter slow down a bit. Nothing huge, just noticeable. Listen, everyone short of my cats is saying the prick has to go already. All we need to do is help that get traction.
Thank all of you that put up with this rant, I feel better already. I will now go try to teach the cats to meow "screw David Stern"! If I succeed, you will be the first to know.
