Pretty simple question. This is only aimed at filling that huge hole we have at the 5. Are we better off trying to trade for a center or waiting till summer and going after a free agent. I will be voting for the free agent path. Trade our expiring guys for picks and keep the young guys. Above all maintain as much cap space as we can. Whatever the new CBA ends up looking like, flexability will be valuable. As for the "no one wants to sign with us" argument, some of the best talent on the list are local products. They know this is a good place to play ball. 

Also note this is just about finding a big. If Dork Elvis can swing a deal for Granger or a similar talent I'm down with it.

We have some good young players, I don't want to give up a huge chunk of talent for what is likely going to be available as a FA in a few months.
