Let's assume that whoever the Rockets acquire before the end of the season is not a long-term starting center.
Now I know its rare that the Rockets draft a guy that they believe can be a productive starter for them, but perhaps we can get a center from the draft this offseason. Here are some guys that I think should be put up on the Rockets' watch list.
- Keith Benson. He plays for Oakland and is listed at 6"11; 225lbs. Right now, he's going for 18 points and 10 boards per game with almost 4 blocks per contest. He shoots over 50% from the floor.
- Brian Qvale. Another guy listed at 6"11 out of Montana. Homeboy has some meat on him, too. He weighs 260 and gets 15 grabbing 9 per game. He is a really efficient scorer that shoots over 63% from the field.
- Kyle O'Quin out of Norfolk State. He is averaging over 16 points and almost 11 rebounds per game and he stands 6"10, 240lbs. Also gets 3 blocks per, so he is a good post defender.
