Armed with the fact that Kevin Martin actually averages more points per minute (.742) than any other player in the league, save Kobe (.744) I would say yes. Yet, no one even mentions him when talking superstars in the league. I know they knock him for not playing D but let's face it neither do most of the other scorers in the league. They all seem to play defense in spurts and their coaches normally switch defensive assignments to save them for the offensive end.
I believe there are several explanations for this: 1) he scores so silently 2) he was not a high draft choice and 3) he does not play for one of the glamor cities of the NBA.
Do the numbers for yourself, he outscores all of the superstars in the league in PPM and is not even mentioned in the same breath with any of the superstars.
Anyone have any thoughts?
