Kevin Martin named Western Conference Player of the Week
In a crazy twist, the NBA recognized the Houston Rockets as an actual NBA team and awarded Kevin Martin with the Western Conference Player of the Week Award. Totally deserved.

I'll be honest, I think we'll get more props from the group we have now
than we did with Yao. It seems he is considered a failure to Stern and the media at large. We know better.
If we get it together and start turning heads could be the next big story. We make the playoffs and give SA a good series we’ll be the next Thunder. Hard work and good basketball is all the Thunder did against LA and now the whole country loves those guys. And they have gotten the attention of quality players who are looking for a great place to take their talents to.

Are we totally positive they don't mean Kenyon Martin?
Because he actually showed up and played in a game or two, which might be worthy of Player of The Week honors. On a per game basis, that guy might be more expensive over his career than Yao or McGrady.
