In a crazy twist, the NBA recognized the Houston Rockets as an actual NBA team and awarded Kevin Martin with the Western Conference Player of the Week Award. Totally deserved.

Cool but

Who is Kevin Martin? And what are the Rockets?

Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.

Haha

Either Feigen or Friedman wrote that he should get the award last night, but I just thought, “Um, do they realize that the Rockets don’t exist in David Stern’s mind as long as Yao is injured?”

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

Just saw this on my news feed.

Dude totally deserved it. He’s the reason our team has remained competitive. Congrats to KMart.

I Think

you´re forgetting about our number 4, though he´s been kinda off lately. KMart is the main reason we remained competitive right now, no doubt about that.

Wow, we actually exist.

/dies of shock

But he shouldn't have gotten it because

He doesn’t play defense, right?

right

add in the fact that Blake Griffin dunked over a car (which has never been done before, for your information), I thought it would be his.

I'll be honest, I think we'll get more props from the group we have now

than we did with Yao. It seems he is considered a failure to Stern and the media at large. We know better.

If we get it together and start turning heads could be the next big story. We make the playoffs and give SA a good series we’ll be the next Thunder. Hard work and good basketball is all the Thunder did against LA and now the whole country loves those guys. And they have gotten the attention of quality players who are looking for a great place to take their talents to.

Definetly deserved

He put the team on his back this week. I thought if Budinger had notched a 30 pt game last night he might have gotten it.

excellent

Congrats to Kevin Martin.

Meanwhile, it’s unfortunate the NBA doesn’t have a “every other game player of the week” because Chase Budinger would be a freakin’ shoe-in every time.

I believe

that’s known as Sixth Man of the Year

i think the last time we had a player of the week on our team

Was when brian cook was wreckin boys night in and night out in our glory days. Infamous snub when he didn’t win mvp but I remain confident the h.o.f comitee will recognize the christ-come-again player he was. He and david anderson both

kevin who?

:)

shop smart, shop S-mart.....YOU GOT THAT!

by loydyboi on Mar 1, 2011 6:53 AM CST reply actions

Are we totally positive they don't mean Kenyon Martin?

Because he actually showed up and played in a game or two, which might be worthy of Player of The Week honors. On a per game basis, that guy might be more expensive over his career than Yao or McGrady.
