Challenge trade gamethread - Rockets vs Suns

Phoenix Suns at Houston Rockets, Mar 14, 2011 7:30 PM CDT

Aaron "The Angry Duck" Brooks!

Kyle "The Bulldog" Lowry!

Goran "The Magic" Dragic!

Steve "The Dietician" Nash (maybe)!

It is on!

PS - Still pissed about the San Antonio game.

The TDS 2012 NBA Mock Draft, 1.0

May 2012 by Tom Martin - 46 comments

Off-topic,

but DraftExpress has us taking Harrison Barnes in their latest mock.

I think our pick was at 11 or 12, which are our two most likely draft spots.

I would love to get Harrison Barnes. T-Will would likely be the odd man out though. :-(

who the fuck is Harrison Barnes?

I care so little about college basketball, the only reason why I know the name Kemba Walker is because he was on my 2k11 draft class.

by Toolshed1 on Mar 14, 2011 7:41 PM CDT up reply actions

He was the #1 recruit in this year's class.

He currently plays for UNC.

He’s kind of underachieved, but he’s been very hot lately.

Just scored 40 points a couple of games ago.

man i really hate that call

the one that kevin martin just got

by sohum on Mar 14, 2011 7:47 PM CDT reply actions

It's why I think Martin is overrated.

He relies on those touch fouls. When he doesn’t get those calls, he struggles, and the numbers show it.

He’s good at getting those calls period. When he doesn’t get it that time, he gets it the next or decides to go from beyond the arc.

The thing with those is that its really hard for me to believe that they go full speed in any of the roads

If they do, they wouldnt be allowed to drive in that country again, unless they rented out the road. There has to be a lot of production to make them seem to be going faster than they really are, at the end of the day the driver just has to act like he is going way fast for it to seem like he is.

by Rockets4LIFE on Mar 14, 2011 8:43 PM CDT up reply actions

Let's be honest.

No one drives the speed limit when we don’t have to. They’re no different, yea?

TDS's resident dickhead.

by BD34 on Mar 14, 2011 8:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Yup we are all guilty of that

But I figure that since they drive in so many countries, there are a lot of danger in being caught driving too fast, at some speeds it is criminal, in Switzerland you can get into serious trouble for speeding at some of the speeds they are driving at.

The M3 is one of the greatest coupes out there

414 horsepower, 2 door coupe (The 4 door is vicious too), everyday car and beautiful handling car. Top end torque though so you don’t get that gritty start but it really puts it down as you put your foot down.

Oh my

Rockets and Suns are pretty even overall. We lost by 3 over there. They lost by 2 here. Both of us were on b2bs when we went on the road. Both games were close throughout. Just a great matchup. Except for the heart attack I am currently experiencing.

2nd half, we had nothing going on in the post. Chuck was the only one even if he dis miss 3FTs

2Pat was not on his game. and no production from KM in the 4th though he fought for that ball on that jumpball

Honestly, Chuck, Martin, and Hill

were the only players out there I was happy with tonight.

it's closer than you think

I didn’t think he would ever be a back the basket player, but I never thought Scola would turn into one either. He has good moves and has the size to get a shot up almost any time he wants. Just a couple of those shots rimmed out. I am encouraged, though.

Rockets played it correctly at the end, though

get it to Martin. It’s not his or RA’s fault that the refs allowed a gangbang on the sideline.

Ugly win tonight.

Poor execution down the stretch.

We could have used Hasheem’s shot blocking tonight. Suns lived in the paint.

it was their jump shots that brought them back

Who do you trust more to get rebounds: Thabeet or Chuck? We haven’t seen enough of Thabeet to know the answer, and it’s for that reason that Adelman has to play Chuck there. He’s a known quantity that understand the defense.

yet another game VC got hot

i dont like this trend, Josh Childress very patient man, finally got to play and also appeared beastly against up

by NVP on Mar 14, 2011 10:33 PM CDT up reply actions

Have you been watching how Brad Miller is playing lately?

He’s been terrible. His shot is way off, wide or open or not, and his defense isn’t there(not that it ever was).

I don’t see the harm in playing Thabeet. We gain a legit presence in the paint with him, which is something we need. I’m tired of just allowing lay up after lay up.

I'm not disagreeing

but I think we’re fine late against a smaller team like PHX if we have Chuck and PPatt out there.

And I don’t think Brad Miller should be out there either…

Thabeet will make us worse

what makes u think hes just gonna jump into the rotation when it matters most?

by IrishThrasher on Mar 15, 2011 4:21 AM CDT up reply actions

What makes you think he'll make us worse?

Because he’ll actually block shots and lockdown the paint?

You actually think we are going to give him the ball in the post?

The only thing on offense he would be doing is setting picks.

He’s out there for defense. Remember that.

Nuggets are playing really well

they are very similar to us I think (no superstar, tons of good shooters) except for one thing: Nene. Otherwise the teams are fairly even. I think New Orleans would have to be the other team to fall off. No one is talking about how poorly they’ve been playing, and it started

before
Chris Paul was concussed.

nuggets are not gonna be eliminated from playoff race

in fact, i’m tipping them to grab the 4th seed over OKC

by sohum on Mar 15, 2011 2:55 PM CDT up reply actions

So am I.

Nene and Lawson have stepped up, along with Wilson Chandler.

Hell, they’ve only lost 2 games since the break, and those games were without Gallinari. They are going to have a good team once Gallinari comes back.

Their bench is going to be sick. Felton, Smith, Chandler, Birdman, Nene/Harrington.

They got a great deal for ’Melo. Not to mention them also getting Mozgov.

Tina Fey Mozgov is the key to any deal.

Denver, freed from the shackles of Melo does better? What? Unpossible!
