BREAKING NEWS: Rick Adelman not to Return
According to Feigen, Adelman will not return to the team as HC, via twitter.
Well, it looks like the relationship between Rick and Les wasn't good after all.
Even though I wanted Adelman to go, I'm sad to see him leave. Easily a hall of famer, and one of the best coaches of all time.
Looks like Les and Morey will have quite a while to look for a new HC. The candidates range from Mike Brown(hell no) to Lawrence Frank.
I can see JVG coming back, but he would not fit our rebuilding program.

Damn...
I haven’t been opposed to this move, but I just hope we don’t end up with someone awful…
As of now, my choices for HC would be
SVG>Lawrence Frank>Elston Turner
Assuming SVG is available.

Well hell...I'm not sure what to feel about this.
I guess I’m supposed to feel that this is good, that we are now gonna be playing the young’uns. Can’t help but feel that this is a step backwards however.

I want to wish Rick the best and hope he can get another chance
with a readily built contender. I’m afraid if we completely change to another style of play, the changes should not stop with Adelman. Perimiter shooting, transition offense, finesse passing is what this team does best, and compromising all of this to just hopefully become a better defensive team will set the franchise back more than Steve Francis. No Mike Brown, no Dwayne Casey, no Larry Brown. If they do go the route of an assisstant, they need to be damn sure that he’s not just an x’s and o’s guy, and can manage 12 grown men’s egos. I think Stan would be a hell of a hire myself.
Funny how Memphis' ****-up has become Houston's obsession
Rick may not coach for a while, or ever again.
Feigen said this parting was mutual.
Adelman may retire.

I read in an interview of his a while back that he would like to keep coaching
I hope if does somewhere, and we arent in contention, that he would win a ring because that guy deserves it.

I like the Rockets
but I’d think there need to be some roster changes for better defense, more than a coaching change. Martin, Budinger, Scola, Lowry are stoppers?
