Breaking News: The Truth About Why The Spurs Lost
Right before the playoffs began, Manu Ginobili had sex with a bitch named Karma. This wasn't good sex though. It was more like something you do when you lose a bet. As a matter of fact he was raped, yes raped, by this Karma gal. But why? Why did this happen? And how did this happen?
Well let me start by saying that as we all should know by now the 1st seeded San Antonio Spurs lost to the 8th seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Before the playoff series former Rocket Shane Battier sent his evil female twin Karma to seduce Mr. Ginobili. Manu being the prick that he is gave in to the seduction. Karma, being a witch, casted a spell of bad luck on Manu during the intercourse which he would then spread to the rest of his useless team.
This spell essentially cost the Spurs their championship hopes. When the news broke about Battier sending his evil twin sister to basically sabotage the Spurs, Battier was asked why he did it. He then responded,"I did it for my ex-teammate Aaron Brooks. Manu's dirty play sabotaged Aaron's season so I vowed to do the same to the Spurs in upsetting fashion. I am the one who asked to be traded to the Griz so I could execute this plan and I did it to perfection. Don't ever fuck with my teams!"

Shane played tough the whole series
I think he is what has pushed the Grizz over the hump into a competing team. What they have accomplished is unbelievable. I’ve never liked the teams in our division except for the Rockets but after watching how Memphis played this series I am a fan.
Spurs got what they deserved, Aaron did nothing to them to deserve a season hindering injury. How do you think the Spurs will proceed towards next season? Will they begin rebuilding or just keep trucking along with the ancient roster they have?

At least Battier got to go to the second round. I am glad for that though I suspect he is a BIG part of the reason why the Grizz denied us the 8th spot.

The pain and irony of Battier and Landry keeping us out of the playoffs isn't lost on me.

I loved rooting for Shane that series
I don’t like the Grizzlies, but they were extremely fun to root for.
If you're a fan of basketball, watch a movie called Sonicsgate. It's free, just google it.
I actually like both teams.
I’d rather it be one of each of them going against LA and Dallas. God, wouldn’t Stern have loved a Memphis/OKC WCF?

brilliant post
And id bang a shane twin as well….but only if it were a dude.
Ill admit that part of me was invoked by nostaligia was a little sad, and undeniably shocked’ to see a dyanasty crash and burn like that but after remebering manus dueche play on brooks I was ecstatic.
And rooting for shane was great as well. He played great as did that whole team. Kudos to the grizzlies for pulling out that well deserved win
Have fun fishing spurs and manu I hope u catch clamidia to go with your carp.

The poll is awesome
maybe you got the idea from a previous poll two years ago about how much people should hate the Jazz?
How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!
This is pretty stupid
The Spurs never lacked in class. Just because we lost to them a bunch of times doesn’t mean we should hate.

someone didnt watch the ginobli play in question
And should therefore keep ur opinions to urslef.
This post was largely aimed at manu and not the team as a whole.
Ginobli undercuting brooks to ‘draw a charge’/ provoke an injury on a last second full-court heave to close out the half was both classless and in direct response to AB torrching them singlehandedly to that point.
It also may have destroyed aaron’s career as it set in motion a chain of event which saw his production plumet, his starting spot lost, and him being shipped out to phx where he continued to be a shell of his forner self.
While ‘destroying his career’ may be a bit strong, it undoubtably cost him millions on his new contract.
Before that play, aaron looked to be furthering his development into an elite offensive option even more, insisting iso for himself and breaking down the spur defense all on his own, it was gorgeous. After that play…well we all know what happened from there.
Though it was clear we weren’t gunna keep him around after inking lowry to his deal, the thought at the time was we wouldn’t resign him due to fiscal concerns. By the time he was moved, we didn’t resign him because he had become a divisive force in the locker-room and his play had declined considerably.
As a result I was hoping something similar would happen to ginobli from that point on. As it turns out it did. He was injured right before the playoffs and you could easily say his teams elimenation was largly due to it.
While ginobli may have turned water into piss as per brooks’ future, it was a short term gain for them which resulted in karma ripping away the mans last real shot at another ring.
All that said, I have never been a spurs hater and have nothing but respect for duncan, pop and rc buford, realy most of the organization as a whole. But ginobli can go fuck himself…hard.

I take it your reading comprehension skills haven’t developed yet. Re-read the post and try again.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
The post wasn’t exactly WSJ quality so I may have skimmed due to the lack of seriousness. But still, hating on the Spurs or even a single Spur is kind of lame.

So there is no player or team you hate?
Hating on me for expressing my feeling towards another team/player is kind of lame, actually. I don’t see you on here getting on every person who decides to express their hate towards a player/team but you choose me. That, my friend, is lame.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
The spurs have always just been a classy team, even when we shellacked them back in 95. I see no reason for hating the spurs.

You don't
But I do. Bruce Bowen, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker are the most annoying guys to watch play basketball in my opinion. David Robinson walks around like he did something because he has two rings riding Duncan’s coatails. Robinson got has ass handle by Hakeem over and over again but Robinson seems to still get more mention in the media than Dream. I hate that shit and if I am wrong for having an opinion then our whole country should be blown up.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
I'm not a fan of Ginobli,
but I respect him. He’s a hell of a scorer. The fact that you’ve kept this grudge with him about what he did to AB is kind of pointless. We’ve moved on.
And how is Parker an annoying player to watch? In his prime, he was easily the quickest PG in the paint. He was a great PG. He doesn’t even flop that much like Ginobli does.
I can understand the hate for Bruce, since he was a dirty player, but I modeled my game after him when I was around 14 or 15. Good defender that can hit the corner 3. That’s just me though.
The main point is that you gotta move on from this AB thing. I know he’s your favorite player, but he’s not a Rocket anymore. This whole post is just plain irrelevant.

ginobili is a dirty player
regardless of what he did to AB. the sad part is that he is a heck of a player and doesn’t need to resort to being an ass to be successful, but he still does it.

@bone
I have always hated Manu. I have hated him since his rookie season when he had one breakout game against us. His was just so fucking annoying in that game and it has continued on til this day. I hae always hated parker because he is useless unless he is hitting a layup and he’s overrated because he plays with Manu and Timmy. I don’t care what you think about it. I am not one of you sheep who like a player one day and hate him the next. I liked AB since Oregon and I was ecstatic when I found out we drafted him. If you have a problem with that then maybe you should get over it because I am not going to change for some guy on the internet who hates anyone that isn’t on the NBA All-Defense team. Get a life man.

Players who aren’t on the All-Defense team.
Seriously dude, the post was just for fun. Get over it. If you don’t like it then don’t read it. Lighten up for a change and get a sense of humor. You complain every time someone says something good a about a player who isn’t a great defender. Your obsession with defense should get you a job in the military but it is borderline annoying on this blog.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
You keep on going after the All-Defense thing.
I haven’t said a word about that on this post.
Nor have I ever said that I don’t like players who aren’t on the All-Defensive team. Parker’s been one of my favorite players since he came into the NBA. Not one of my favorite, but I like the way he plays.
I didn’t see how this post was meant to be funny, but whatever.

I take it that
You aren’t in the mood for an adult conversation. Makes sense since you act like a teenage brat. When you grow up we can have a nice discussion. Until then keep eating your wheaties.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
The irony in that was off the charts.
You say things like “You aren’t in a mood for an adult conversation” or “When you grow up…”, and then the other two sentences were personal attacks.
The only thing I’ve said that could have “insulted” you was telling you to get over AB, not necessarily calling you an immature teenage brat or telling you to keep on eating your wheaties.
But, it’s your logic. I won’t object to it.

Also,
I don’t hate average defenders. Like I mentioned, I’ve been a fan of Tony Parker’s game, mainly because he’s a PG that I like to watch, and he also is a decent, probably average defender.
I just can’t take guys like Martin and AB who are not even average defenders, but are defensive liabilites.
As for my “obsession” with defense being annoying on this blog, maybe you should look in the mirror. Your obsession with AB is quite annoying as well. The team has moved on from him, yet you still post this.
I just fail to see the point in this. You say it’s meant to be funny, but I say that’s just an excuse for you to vent more about Ginobli’s “cheap shot” to AB. You want a place to vent? Twitter. It works for me.

Like I said
I have been a fan of AB since college. Since he was traded I haven’t mentioned him. You are mad because I like him and you don’t. That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. You on the other hand bash every player who isn’t a good defender and that is annoying because there are plenty of players like that. You failing to see the point of this post is your own problem because most others see it. Had I replaced AB with Lowry you would have backed the post and you know it. Grow up or shut up and we will get along just fine.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
Also
You are complaining because I like a player that you don’t which is very childish. You don’t see me complaining about you like Parker. You say you like him because of the way he plays but that is the same reason I like AB and you have a problem with that. That is just childish beyond belief.
Me against the world is a mismatch in my favor.
More annoying than Paul Pierce?
More annoying than Matt Barnes? The “Kobe Face”?
Robison was a great great player. Hakeem was better. That doesn’t take anything from the Admiral. Jordan was better than Drexler, Drexler was still great.

I'm pretty sure he only has one ring
That he got in timmy’s rookie year and in all fairness, he was a big part of the reason they won it that year. Obviously duncan’s arrival helped tremendously but not even duncan in his rookie year could have carried a team to victory.
The admiral was a great player and was a part of the golden age of bigs wich is why its so special that he got utterly demolished by hakeem.
I will agree that he gets more recognition then hakeem does but then again so does everyone who’s not a rocket.

You have totally missed the point. It is Karma. He made a useless and dirty play that cost a man more than just 23 games of his career. So Karma cost him a chance at a ring.

No, I don't think he did it to injure Brooks
But it was the sort of stupid red-ass play that gets people hurt for no possible benefit. Like a takedown foul on a layup in the All-Star game – that level of annoying and stupid.
Trying to draw a foul by sticking your foot out on a last second half court shot? When your team isn’t even in the penalty and it’s even more likely to be a 3 shot foul for Brooks? It was a dick move, and it got someone hurt for no possible benefit. So karma for that is ok, but I don’t know about that myself, I just think SA couldn’t control the paint against the monster Memphis front court.
Houston, oddly, did very well versus Memphis – think about how much better Hayes did than the Spurs frontline.
