A major letdown for Real Madrid as the Spanish powerhouse fell ugly on the semifinal of the first EuroLeague’s Final Four it reached since 1996 to Maccabi Electra, 82-63, today, May the 6th.
Houston Rockets’ Sergio Llull started and logged 29:01 of playing time. Llull scored nine points on 4-of-12 shooting, grabbed three rebounds, dished an assist and recorded a steal but turned the ball over three times.
Llull’s off performance was a huge part of why Real Madrid fell apart in the second-half as Maccabi pulled away. Real got things going inside but got nothing from the perimeter, shooting 7-of-23 from beyond the arc.
Real Madrid plays for the third place against Montepaschi Siena next Sunday, May the 8th.
