Notes on the Finals

I've been quiet for a bit, but I finally have a few things to say. I have been a faithful viewer of the 2011 NBA Finals and I have picked up on a few things and I expect some things to happen in the coming days.

1) First thing I have to say is that Dywane Wade gets Michael Jordan calls. We complain about Kevin Martin getting bail out calls, but Wade's been bailed out more than Pacman Jones.

2) No one is talking about how the Mavericks are kicking the Heat in the ass. Everything is about how Miami is playing bad, they can't close, LeBron needs a binky etc....I guess the Mavs have nothing to do with any of that. They are really getting disrespected by the media right now because they are not getting the credit that they deserve.

3) That Mavs defense is as stellar as any. They don't allow much penetration and if they do they collapse in the lane and close out on shooters quickly. Rick Carlisle should commended more for the great job he is doing with that team.

4) Marion is the unsung hero for Dallas right now on both ends. That guy is playing hard and efficient on both ends. Watch him closely in the next game and you will see what I am saying.

5) No one cares about Chris Bosh.

6) I expect game 6 to be one for the ages. Here's why: I fully expect the "fix" to be in. So far the Mavs have overcome some bad officiating with all the superstar calls Miami has been getting (Wade and Lebron travel religiously and NEVER get called for it). Look for phantom calls from the refs if the Mavs are up by halftime. Expect the Heat to shoot many more FT's than Dallas and also expect a Mav player to get ejected or falsely called for a tech (Terry or Marion).

7) This leads me to something I think has been far too unnoticed. Mark Cuban has been the MVP of the playoffs. Now before I get banned for saying that hear me out first. All the times the Mavericks have had early playoff exits Cuban has been running his mouth about referees. How many times have the Dallas had some tough calls go against them in the past 10 years? Now, Cuban has his mouth shut and Dallas has a foot in the door to NBA Legacy by just being win away from a ring. Think about it for a second and it will make sense to you.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.
