Memphis has offered Marc Gasol a qualifying offer...anyone know what that means? (as in how much is "qualifying"?) Other possible options include D. Jordan, N. Hilario, S. Dalembert (i really donut like this guy), others...
Honestly, If I'm the GM, I go out there and offer Gasol 10-15 million, whatever it takes to get a quality center. (In a comment I said Yao-esque money but I figure that may be wayy to high(the extra y emphasizes the point) for a guy that won't be Yao caliber)
As far as DeAndre Jordan? I'd offer him whatever Biedrins makes (9 million I believe?), which would probably be a sign and trade with scola (BYC yes?) + player involved to make salaries match, or I guess maybe a TPE and picks +Scola?.
The only other Center I would pursue is Nene. Now, I know he isn't the greatest defender and is primarily offense but I'm still intrigued. For him, I'd offer 10-15 million, same as Gasol.
My dream scenario for centers is obviously Dwight Howard, which is never gonna happen so why bother?
so folks...what do you think?
