I have listed the rockets line-ups ranked by minutes played. Using NBA.com's stats cube ive transfared the numbers and threw in a few opnions to try stir up some good ole conversations on the line-ups/player usage and the likes so read on after the jump say it as you see it
Stats are very useful but they must be taken with a grain of salt example lets say Scola averaged 3 assists last season and he is at 1 this season doesn’t mean he's a bad passer or lost a finger. Many reasons have affected everyone this season the lockout, lack of a preseason/summer league, no training time for teams. Specific to the rockets getting a new coach who runs a different system, the additions of Dalembert, Parsons, Flynn, Adrian, Morris and the loss of Miller, Hayes no doubt affected the stats. Anything that is not a number is not a fact and is my opinion and to stir up some nice conversations; anyway let’s get on with it.
The average for the team per 48 min is as follows

Top used line-up here which is our current starting five. It has the second highest NetRtg of the top 8 line-ups and Lowry is used third in this option maybe showing since the starting five change he is needed to produce less and there is a balanced usage among all players. There are no big positives compared to the average only negatives turnovers, 3PA and FTA are over 10% below the average but AST, 3P% and REB% are up slightly.

The second ranked line-up is just over half the amount of minutes of the first. Budinger now seems to be out of the rotation with Hill putting in little minutes lately due to flu. The line-up is up 10% in all categories bar 3PA and is down a little in REB% and over 10% in FTA

With a slightly better NetRtg then the last line-up we see a straight trade of Hill and Dalembert with Lowry jumping to the top of usage at Budinger and Martins expense. Notice this is a much faster looking line-up with more points, turnovers and free throws. The presence of Dalembert is shown with a much higher REB% than when Hill was in this line-up. It is likely that this will soon be overtaken by rank 5 with Lee replacing Budinger

This is where the sample size in minutes becomes a real factor so done read into these as much as the others as more time would be needed. The fact that only 3 line-ups are given major minutes show how many minutes the starters have been playing. This is a bench line-up with the exception of Martin it is also the worst NetRtg wise at a whopping -44 (Rank 9 was worst with the line-up of Scola, Hill, Budinger, Martin, Dragic)

This is a small line-up with three guards who like to shoot the 3 and miss it more than average. Most stats are close to averages bar the 3s, this line-up could be used against smaller teams with Patterson instead of Scola just because I think id like it better.

This is the starting line-up with a change at the PG position. Turnovers are down but so is FG%. This is the line-up with highest NetRtg even more than the first! It also seems alarming to me that Parsons is used more than Dragic

Once again Scola is used a lot but points are by 16, 3PA are down 17 but so are turnovers. Could this be why the man is fading towards the end of the game and 4th jump shots aren’t falling?

This line-up shows Lowry dominating usage with a he 40% surprisingly Lee is given a tiny 8.1% this is possibly from when he was back from injury and he Dragic and Patterson hadn’t found there game.
Oddly here FG% is at 60 and 3P% is at 40 with free throws up. (Lowry is a beast!)
Here are all the line-ups again together to make it easier to compare
