The Bucks are supposed to be a really bad offensive team.
They just scored 12 points in less than three minutes.

Guess it's still better to collapse in the first than in the fourth?
Well, we still have to be in the game in the fourth…

That's the average NBA fan for you.
Let’s look at the box score and decide the all-stars from that.
Sonicsgate: A movie about how the Sonics were stolen from Seattle.
Okay, look at it from the coach's perspective.
They vote on the players who go to the bench, they will probably vote for the people who they think are better, usually better players get game planned against. I would bet money that Gortat is a bigger problem during game plans than Dalembert.
Jordan most likely won’t make it, but I think that he’ll be put over Dalembert if it comes to it.
Dallas and Houston fan making it work. Gig 'em!
That's absurd.
DeAndre Jordan, other than his 3 blocks a game, has been pretty awful this season on man-to-man defense and his usual bad offensive game. Gortat? He’s the benefactor of Suns new system which revolves around getting him the ball. Also, he’s got Steve Nash. Dalembert is our 4th/5th option as a scorer, and has been MUCH better defensively than both those centers.
Sonicsgate: A movie about how the Sonics were stolen from Seattle.
We can go back and forth on this forever.
I’ll give you Deandre Jordan, but Gortat has definitely stepped his game up to be the 3rd center for The West. I don’t see Dalembert getting more coach votes than Gortat.
Dallas and Houston fan making it work. Gig 'em!
If Samuel Dalembert played for the Suns, he'd get 20/10 every night.
It’s not that hard to run the pick and roll with Steve Nash. His usage percentage is 21.47% too. Dalembert is around 15% for the season…

Yes, seriously.
His production this year has been miserable and his production has gone down steadily since his rookie season. I’d rather just let him go since Parsons made him obsolete. Morris is waiting in the D-League.
Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad.
I agree with the main point of this.
Apparently Morris is scheduled to come up to the Rockets soon, but his ankle injury has been setting him back.
Sonicsgate: A movie about how the Sonics were stolen from Seattle.
okay, but you're not going to get someone of his quality for less than a million dollars.
And 950k is not killing the cap space.
You’re letting your disappointment in his season cloud your evaluation of his value.
I am? Or am I recognizing that you can let him walk at the end of the season and get another in the 2nd round this year?
Nothing is clouded, we got Parsons this year in the 2nd and he replaced Budinger. Bud doesn’t rebound well enough and hasn’t been consistent in his shot the last two years to justify securing him playing time. Take a mulligan and get another 2nd round Budinger or get one from the D-League. He deserves to at BEST be a 3rd string SF anyway.
Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad.
So you're going to let Budinger walk in the hopes you'll get another Budinger.
Bird in the hand and all that.
At 950k, he’s an absolute bargain. You can let him walk next year. The Rockets aren’t hurting for $950k in either cap space or real money.
I mean, you can do both of these things. You can draft in the second round and keep Budinger. There’s nothing preventing you from doing that.
I am willing to let Budinger walk because our scouting department has shown to be competent.
Bud doesn’t provide anything special, and we’re letting Williams go who actually had a better impact on the 2nd unit that Bud has had all year. I’m not sure why you want to hold on to Budinger when he’s easily replaceable just because he’s cheap. We could staff our entire roster paying the minimum to meet the floor, would you recommend keeping all of those players cause they’re cheap?
Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad.
Read a little closer, BD
It’s not just that he’s cheap. It’s that he’s significantly more productive on the cheap than a replacement player.
It doesn’t hurt you at all to keep him. He provides something if you do. Like I said, you’re letting your disappointment cloud your eyes here. He’s down but still vastly exceeding his contract in production.
Let's just stop assuming we know everything I'm thinking, k?
Stead decline since a flash in the pan rookie season that is easy to explain is enough to tell me he’s not going to see rotational minutes, we have better than him currently, and if you’re hard up for Bud, just draft 2.0 in the draft. It’s simple logistics.
Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad.

It's the one part of his game that needs substantial improvement.
He’s very advance on defense for a rookie, an above average passer IMO, and a decent rebounder. Just saying that if he could shoot the 3 to become a factor it would make him that much better as well as open more opportunities for everybody else.

No fucking shit Clyde.
When a player makes a bad play I’m sure they’d like to have it back.

Oh Kevin..
Tough loss.

this is a bad loss
completely flat in the 2nd half before that furious comeback. it’s unacceptable to give up a 20-0 run to the bucks.
This game really highlighted our need for a go-to player.

Most frustrating type of loss
When the other team just makes tough shots

I remember a couple years ago against Golden State.
It might have been last year, I don’t know. Monta Ellis just kept making long two’s in everyone’s faces. Scored 42 that night and we lost.

Guess that this happens. Miss open shots. Other team hits hard shots.
Only thing I’m worried about is the minutes because we have a tight 8 man rotation. We’re making smaller guys bang against bigger guys which isn’t good for their legs.
Don't worry about it
We play Washington next lol

Actually a pretty good game for Scola
18 pts on 11 FGA; 8 rebounds, only 1 tov.
Got hung with a few bullshit calls when I was watching, though.
What was it? 14 for 27?
That shits ridiculous.

that 8 guys rotation is bad in this season
i hope mchale add 2 more guys on that rotation
Lowry looked absolutely pooped.
No lift on his jumper from what I noticed.
Sonicsgate: A movie about how the Sonics were stolen from Seattle.
not his best game
But Kyle is playing more minutes than any one on this team, that cant be good for him
The only thing that bothered me tonight
was that Houston had warm bodies like Hill and Buddinger on the bench when Lowry and Scola were clearly gassed, and Mchale didn’t play them.
Yeah Wtf?
I can see the reasons for not playing hill, but bud? Anyone more cluey on this than me? Didn’t watch the game just score checked.

And..
What bout Adrien, was it just match ups?

no ... not really.
I really have no clue what the game plan was. It’s clear the bench needs to produce more though.
Mavs got their streak broken tonight too.
AK is gonna get his wish… GOOD JOB AK!
Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad.
Mchale can't keep an 8 man rotation
if you wanna shorten it in the playoffs, fine I get it. But in a shortened season where 66 games are crammed together, you just can’t have it like that. I don’t even think 9 is enough, 10 would be about the right amount. Hill and Bud both could’ve given the guys some rest, even before this game.

Frustrating game tonight.
Got buried in a hole early on, fought out of it, took a commanding lead, but still lost. Not a terrible loss, but the end result was not much fun to watch nonetheless.

We played like poop.
Then we came back. Then we played like poop again. Then we almost came back, but then poop.
Sonicsgate: A movie about how the Sonics were stolen from Seattle.
A lil more detailed
Game of runs which were very long. There is a 12 – 0 run by the Bucks to start the game. Rockets game back. Andrew Bogut got injured and after that the Rockets dominated the game. It looked like the Rockets would run away with it taking a 9 point lead into the half.
The whole time though the Rockets were missing wide open shots while the Bucks were making tougher shots. So it just seemed like that was coming back to normal and the Rockets had a 12 point lead.
And then the Rockets decided to fall asleep (looked a little fatigued) and hte Bucks made tough shots to go on a 20 – 0 run to end hte 3rd and start the 4th.
Rockets woke up, came back. But Kevin Martin missed a wide open 3 and open layup. Parsons missed a wide open layup (he tried to Jordan it and switch hands despite their being no defense). Dragic drove, tried to pass it to Scola but passed it to Delfino’s arm instead. Otherwise, we shut them down and were getting fantastic shots at that point.
Lowry could not hit a shot and he had very few easy open shots. He passed up some long shots and took more difficult floaters instead.
We rebounded really well with Dalembert leading the way again. Dalembert has been a game changer on the boards and defensively.
Chandler Parsons played really well. He had a lot of energy. Played hard on defense. He can’t really shoot from the outside but he drives hard to the basket and gets extra possessions for the team.
Scola was better this game too but he hasn’t been actually scoring on post ups that often. He played hard though. Rebounded better. Jump shooting bigs kill him.
Lee could not hit a shot.
Patterson had good energy. He played pretty hard. Made some jump shots.
I’m not a fan of small line ups and having everyone guard bigger people. This tires them out more. So even though Lowry stripped Stephen Jackson and played good D on him, its not good for the Rockets in the long run.
Very nice, thanks!
