Finally, after careful consideration and an absurd amount of players to deal with, the Houston Rockets have a fifteen-man roster. I literally didn't think it was possible.

C: Omer Asik, Cole Aldrich, Greg Smith

The Rockets cut Shaun Livingston (who was set to make just over $3 million this year) today — per Jonathan Feigen — in addition to Lazar Hayward, Jon Brockman, Gary Forbes and JaJuan Johnson. Greg Smith apparently played his way into a roster spot (good for him), and recent additions Cole Aldrich and Daequan Cook can unpack their bags for good.

Here's what Feigen had to say on keeping Douglas over Livingston, the former uber-prospect who hasn't ever lived up to the billing since his devastating knee injury:

When having Harden with 2nd unit, Douglas fits better than before as a shooter, defender. Not as much an issue that he's not a playmaker.

By the way, good for Scott Machado. He sticks because he's a cheaper rookie, but he's also earned it.
