Get It Done

Two words, the rotation. If you watch these young Rockets play, you say to yourself, what is the deal with the rotation. It almost looks like the coaching staff is falling asleep. As Ken Faried grabbed rebound after rebound guys like Greg Smith could only watch. Let me take you back to the first game of the season when Houston visited the Pistons. That game was almost lost, if it had not been for the energy and rebounding Greg Smith brought to the game. On a night where Faried was grabbing 16 boards most on the second unit, all Smith could do is watch. Two words, Toney Douglas, is awful. That guy has a confidence issue in which the point guard for the second just cannot have. He did however make some great passes to Asik in some pick and roll situations but he is not the type of guard we have been accustom too in Rocket Land the last few seasons. Scott Machado needs to eat some of Toney Douglas's minutes. He is a much better passer and

will make plays with the basketball. He is riding the pine and feels he should not be and he deserves that shot.

One word, DEFENSE. That is what the rockets are still lacking on the perimeter. Asik plays well in terms of switching on defense but no one else does. Pat Patterson does not do a bad job but guys are going to need to stay with their assignment a little better. In order for the team to get better the defense must excel. Two words, post game. Our best post player comes off the bench in Cole Aldrich, we need to be able to run some game through him, especially that second unit. He is a gritty guy and I don't see him backing down from anyone in the NBA, thanks OKC

What he should do:

Jeremy Lin: The guy is a huge point guard, and my "what he should do" word is.......Watch Mark Jackson tapes. Mark Jackson was the king of abusing small guards in the paint. In games like last night Jeremy Lin should have had his back to the basket backing down the smaller PG's in the league.

Kevin "This Aint Boston" McHale: FEED COLE ALDRICH in the post when he is in with the second team. No lie, this guy is a 6'11 Luis Scola check his moves out on Javale McGee. He has a hook shot that he shoots naturally and seen last night can be affective against any defender. Honestly Aldrich has a very polished post game and I would be surprised to see Houston not use that to their advantage.
