Rockets vs Timberwolves coverage
No matchups today because it's the day after Christmas.
What a game last night, huh? I called a win, but I never thought the Rockets would win like that. Someone mentioned how it's tougher to win on Christmas as the home team because you spent the morning with your family whereas the visitors have already left their families the night before. They've already had Christmas and they're back to business.
I have no idea if that mattered at all, but it's an interesting theory. Now onto tonight's game.
The Timberwolves won the season series 3-1 last year. If you remember the games at all, you'll remember Nikola Pekovic going 50/25 (that's what I remember) and Kevin Love closing them out.
The Rockets will be tired. Lin, Harden, Parsons, and Asik all played 34+ minutes last night, which is crazy considering that the Rockets won by 23. I'm not arguing, since I was the one yelling at the TV to bring the starters back when Nate Robinson went HAM in the fourth quarter.
The T-Wolves are a tough matchup for the Rockets. They're quick without running and can wear down the Rockets in the halfcourt with their spacing and the drive-and-kick game. I'm sure Rick Adelman has something planned.
Thoughts? Predictions? I say the Rockets have a let down game and drop this one 111-98.
