KAMAN
Looks like the good guys are trying to trade for Chris Kaman..
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/sam_amick/02/01/kaman.trade/index.html?sct=hp_t2_a5
what do u guys think? i personally think that another capable C would help us tremendously...we might not have a superstar center but w D Bear and Kaman we would have a pretty solid front court..also looks like we wont be getting rid of any players of consequense...NEED ONE MORE WORD

"Screw Stern!" Me
I think a trade involving Hill would work out for them
letting him play at the 4 ,since they have Smith, and Okafor to man the 5.

Why?
He’s an expiring contract, so trading for him can’t be viewed as picking up an asset. So what would be the point? Trading any of the 09ers for him to clear up cap space doesn’t make sense because we didn’t exercise the final years of their rookie contracts, so they can be gone next year without this trade anyway.
So what would be the point?
It all comes down to what Morey’s orders are. And I suspect their playoffs in 12.

why????
because the FO sent a message to the 09ers last week. What’s the difference between keeping them at the end of the bench or trading them to New Orleans? The only rotational player is Jordan Hill, playing back up C. He’s a PF. We need a back up C. Kaman is a back up C. It’s not just expirings for expirings.
temporary avatar change...
What if the trade was for Hill, 2nd rd pick, and SCOLA??
They get a starting PF for several years, test out Hill this year, and a pick, all for an expiring contract.
Rockets move PPatt to the starter, clear more cap for this summer, and get a good back-up center for this year.
plus imagin bein able to play bert/kaman together
prob wouldnt work but against 1 man teams likw where john wall keeps drivin could make him think twice

Did anyone notice that
Kaman didn’t play with the Hornets last night despite it being a home game?
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=320201003
Does anyone know anything about why he didn’t play? It seems like maybe he’s being dealt soon if his status was “DNP NOT WITH TEAM.”
Nevermind
It looks like he hasn’t play the last 5 games or so.
The Hornets have held him out while they've been trying to trade him.
That was their statement at the start of this business.
