Rockets drawing fouls tonight

Might have something to do with the Warriors being the second-worst in the league in defensive FT/FGA.

Also, David Lee already has 3 turnovers in less than 6 minutes. Not his best

Kevin Martin

with 4 TO’s in the first half…. Make all the shots you want, but you won’t be playing big minutes for McHale doing that.

by AhForJustOneTime on Feb 12, 2012 9:08 PM CST reply actions

It's been some of the worst basketball the Rockets has played for a long time

Sloppy passing, not getting into offense, running into each other and dribbling off own foot. It’s only because GSW has not exactly been textbook that we’re only down 4

by NVP on Feb 12, 2012 9:18 PM CST reply actions

I think it's more because

the Warriors are a bad team. 1st quarter looked good, 2nd quarter was sloppy as Hell. May need to roll with the starters for a few more minutes in the 2nd half.

by AhForJustOneTime on Feb 12, 2012 9:20 PM CST up reply actions

I love how Marc Jackson

said he was going to instill a culture of defense and toughness in GS. May need to send him to the McHale basketball camp for a few pointers in the off-season.

If we can beat Memphis on Tuesday, it will be a successful road trip.

Well disappointing game tonight, this is one I thought we'd take.

I thought we were in great shape after winning in Denver and Portland.

easily the worst basketball we've played for quite while now

just a mess on offense, and defensively, GSW are just making demoralizing shots one after another

Typical Warriors win

Win by taking and making ridiculous ass shots.

Not surprised that we lost tonight.

Warriors can beat any team on their home floor. Plus we don’t match-up well with them. Martin performed well offensively, but his defense hit rock bottom tonight.

Was really impressed with Patterson tonight. He looked 100% physically, and it showed. He consistently got good position down low, and performed some nice moves. That jump-hook looks pretty good when setup properly, and he’s got a good counter-move in that nice little up-and-under. He also grabbed 7 rebounds in just 23 minutes. And then, of course, his defense continued to be spectacular (didn’t think his 1on1 defense could be this good). I really wish he would play more minutes than Scola. Scola plays really well off of Lowry, but his defense was absolute shit tonight. Both he and K-Mart put up good offensive numbers, but their defense was pathetic.

Overall, I thought the lineups were a bit off tonight. Dalembert should have played more minutes, and Hill played well enough to get more than just 8. Really wish McHale would consistently use a 10-man rotation. It’s obviously worked in the past stretch of games, so I see no reason why not to use it again, even if the team is on 2-day’s rest.

Next game is at Memphis, which will come down to how Gasol plays. I think Parsons will do a good job on Gay, and Lowry’s probably a lock to have a big game against his former team.
