Blazers Fan Here: Kevin Love Is A real Jerk!

Hey guys, my favorite team is the Blazers but Ive always loved the Rockets. Our teams have traded players in the past and coaches. Plus the very first playoff game I ever went to was a few years ago when we played yall in the 1st round, what a series, which you guys eventually won vs us.

Anyways, I saw that dirty dirty play by Kevin Love last night and I just wanted to say what a jerk. Kick a man in the face when hes down. Every national analyst that I saw and heard who reviewed the play, all of them said it WAS NOT ACCIDENTAL!!! Love should be suspended IMHO. That was a bunch of bullspit! And then the fact that a foul wasnt even called on the throw down of Scola and then no foul called on the face kicking--WEAK!!! Our NBA league needs to step it up and do something. I hope the Refs get fined as well, they were letting that game get waaaay out of hand. I just wanted to rant about it a little. I feel better now.

Anyways, much respect to the Rockets, you fans and Luis Scola.

Peace Out,

CJB

Fuck the league and the refs.

They are going to try to protect their next great all American white superstar.

I hate david stern!

He has to be suspended

It was VERY similar to the Suh play. There’s no way he can’t not be suspended for that.

The funny thing is he completely hacked Scola to the floor before that and no foul was called….

I think he deserves a Ron Artest-esque penalty...

you know, the Malice at the Palace…seriously…I wouldn’t expect this from Love…a player I used to really like…if I was Stern I would kick him out of the league…I wonder what the other players in the league will do to love after this…I’m surprised Scola didn’t react…I would’ve intentionally beat Love up to draw attention to his shitty self….then again Scola is a good person so…

ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kick him out no way

I love Scola but that is over reacting. I say suspend him for all games against the Rockets this year including the playoffs.

This is an awesome post

I’ve always wondered why Blazers and Rockets fans got along so well, but maybe it’s just because Portland fans are just genuinely good people. The whole Greg Oden-Yao parallel doesn’t hurt too much either.

That and

who can really hates Portlandia?

And people ask why I want to move to Portland

It’s for many reasons, one of which you just mentioned: they’re good people. Really good people. And Blazers fans especially.

I spend summers in Oregon wine country, near Portland.

I love it. The summer weather is often the best in the US. Portland just gets better and better in terms of what it offers for living. Sure Portlandia is silly, and mostly true (like King of The Hill was mostly true) but honestly most of those people are genuinely trying to make their town a better place. I can live with a little oddity and pretension.

I think we talked about this

And I was jealous then, and more jealous now.

If you want to work out there start lining stuff up now.

It’s hard for even doctors to find work there, so many people want to live there. It’s not like Houston, where the med center just keeps growing.

Dammit

I still don’t know what I want to do, but I may send out some feelers to get the ball rolling. Thanks for that.

You don't have to know what you want to do.

I just have a couple of surgeon friends up there and it’s been a tough road to get a good gig. A well paid tough road, but difficult all the same.

Cavejunctionblazer

Glad to have you back here man. Appreciate the support. I know a lot of people got on Love’s case when he switched commitments from Oregon to UCLA, but I thought, “He’s an 18-year-old kid. Heck, I’m 23 and I don’t even know what I want.”

But this? All I can say is, I used to be a Kevin Love fan. Never again.

fair play man

always nice to get other fans perspective and check this out i seen on NBA.com the comments here are pretty bad tho one implied that coz scola flopped it didnt matter if love did wat he did some stupid stuff like

by IrishThrasher on Feb 6, 2012 7:30 AM CST reply actions

Such bullshit.

Kevin Love hacked Scola before stomping on his face as well.

If Artest did this, Artest would be suspended for 10 games. Just because it was a low profile game and a “nice guy”, a pass is given.

So CaveJunction - do we blame Lake Oswego for Love being the way he is?

Bynum gets a 5 game suspension for the Barea thing while Love gets only 2 games, thats not right

It was also very blatant, no excuse.

Love’s “stomping” wasn’t nearly as flagrant, frankly. It was dumb, but you could at least construct an excuse for it. It would be a stupid excuse, but you could do it.

So not surprising that Love’s suspension wasn’t nearly as long.

by Only_A_Lad on Feb 7, 2012 9:47 AM CST up reply actions

Love looked down before stomping on his face, thats pretty blatant to me

I think any excuse really isnt valid for that. But apparently Love apologized after the game and the team allowed Scola to stay another night in Minni where he had a drink with Love to clear the air.

I'm interested in something...

What did Rick think about it? Or what did he say about it? I’m sure the protocol would be to protect his new “superstar” but what anyway?

Thanks for posting mate.

I absolutely love the blazers.
Y’all have a great great team, front office, fans, the works.
