I laughed so hard when I saw the Knicks had offered him. I know Flynn isn’t worth much, but hey, if I’m selling a hat that I made out of newspaper, I’m not going to sell it in exchange for a piece of dog shit that some other guy just picked up off the ground.

Best line in the article

“discussed a possible deal involving Renaldo Balkman and Mike Bibby. The Rockets were not interested.”

I think really that says it all.

Moving Flynn would be kind of nice for Houston, since he isn’t really contributing and could be worth something in trade. But uh… trading a non-contributor for two anti-contributors probably isn’t Houston’s best move, NY. If wishes were horses, the Knicks could start a ranch.

This is why NY is never good

They actually think that’s a good deal for the Rockets and make moves like this from the Rockets’ position all the time.

I think you do it for de-protecting their 1st that we have

and hope that he makes them worse, lol. can we get lin back in this deal?

I dont think the Rockets are interested because they dont want to add salary to next year

I would also like to say Bill Ingram from Hoops World is a moron. Every fucken day he talks about how the Rockets over value their players. He says shit like

I think the reason the Hornets are now saying they will keep Kaman is because they were asking a lot, and the Rockets overvalue their roleplayers. They think they can get a star player for Thabeet, Hill and Flynn . . .pieces no one really wants.

Does he not understand that the Rockets dont over value their players, but they do VALUE CAP SPACE for this summer!

The Rockets are not going to make a move that hurts their cap space unless its for a star. PERIOD. How hard is that to understand to a “sports writer”

Kaman = Cap space

He’s 14 mil expiring. However, so are pretty much all the rockets players being discussed in that trade. The rockets are about the only team for whom acquiring Kaman probably wouldn’t free up any cap space, so I’m sure Morey wasn’t in any mood to overpay for a backup C rental.

I obviously don’t have insider knowledge, but I’d bet that it was the Hornets that wanted too much for him. I mean, he’s 14m expiring and a good backup center. If you can’t find a trade for THAT out of 29 teams, you’re probably doing it wrong. Thabeet, Hill and change is pretty much what everyone expected him to go for, and that’s probably about right. Those guys aren’t great, but they are expiring and Kaman’s value to Houston is pretty low too.

Wouldn’t surprise me if NOLA wanted like Dragic, Patterson, Hill and a pick.

I don't know why anyone

would even consider trying to deal with NO until they get an owner. “Basketball reason’s” me once, shame on you, “basketball reason’s” me twice, shame on me.
