So you are an NBA owner and have 60 mil in cap space THIS year….
So a few days ago I was thinking, if I could choose any 12 NBA players to fill out a roster for $60 million who would I choose. So I put one together. Now it is your turn. Fill out a 12 man roster with salaries from the 2011/2012 season (that would be salaries from THIS NBA season) without going over the 60 million cap! I completed my roster already and will be in the first post...and hey, I ONLY spent 59 million! And by the way, I guess you don't have to but I did put one Rox player on my team.
If you want to include some comments as to why you chose certain players and not others feel free to do so. I didn't include any comments because I had already wasted about an hour and 15 minutes of my life spending my hard earned money as an NBA owner so I decided against wasting any more time. I actually thought that I might spend about 30 to 45 minutes on this but you won't believe what some of these players make for the work they do, or more importantly, the work they don't do!
I am sure that all sites have the same NBA salaries, but just to be sure that everyone is using the same salaries, use http://hoopshype.com/salaries.htm as the reference. And round to the nearest million (up or down).
Last thing (which I guess will be my comment): I really had a hard time deciding on my SG's as I was really not inclined to spend 42% of my cap space on a man that is scoring 30 pts a game with only one hand! And it is hard to say this, but I also was not inclined to spend my coin on our own dear Kmart even though he is the second leading scorer among SG's.
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

Not sure if you are joking
but if you look at the true to life salaries of some of my (real life players actually) they are spot on. DRose plays for only 7 mil, DLove for 5 and Griffin for 6.
It´s all right there in the link to this year´s NBA salaries.

A little help please...
My post has some kind of crazy computer lingo that I obviously did not want in the main body of the post. Is it possible to get that out of the main body?

fixed
in the future, just click on the edit button. It’s the little pencil and paper icon next to the title. You should see it on any posts you write.
tru dat...
And you sir would be the wisest owner in the league because you would be saving 3.5 million this year!
Are you sure you don´t want to pay 20 mil more for the Heat´s roster?

Oh I'm sure
I don’t want my team to be about attention. I want my team to be about basketball.
I hate david stern!
Mine would be similar
PG: D. Rose, R. Westbrook
SG: J. Harden, E. Gordon, L. Fields
SF: D. Gallinari, P. George
PF: K. Love, B. Griffin, S. Ibaka
C: D. Howard, R. Hibbert
And I would lose Rose, Westbrook, Gallinari, and Howard in the free agency
That´s why I made it for this year only
because if you start messing with next year and who goes where for what it would be a mess. This is why I threw this type of “discussion” out there; because I wanted to see which superstars people would build their team around.
I built around KDurant and Rose and you went with DHoward and Rose. I wonder if others play, who many of them will go with the big man theory of building a team around.
Thanks for playing :-)

Y'all are going about this wrong.

60 million to have 11 Brian Cooks ride the pine?
A tad too overpriced but I’ve got to admit, NO ONE rides the pine like the Cookster.

His towel-waving skills on the bench were paralleled by none.

58mill in total
How i did this was started with howard then looked for a great cheap pg. went for an outside shootin PF then a scorin drivin sg (could see harden comin off the bench) then a role guy in odom who can do a few things. the bench firstly looked for a big PF that cud play center, young pg and some cheap role guys
Starters
Derrick Rose 7
James Harden 5
Lamar Odom 9
Ryan Anderson 2
Dwight Howard 18
Reserves
Ty Lawson 2
Courtney Lee 2
Marco Belinelli 4
Paul George 2
Chase Budinger 1
Greg Monroe 3
Roy Hibbert 3
nice lineups but
who is going to guard Durant (my team) when we play each other??? Not one person on your starting 5, nor your reserves, are going to get it done against KD…..just sayin!!!!!
DRose and Harden cancel each other out since we both have them starting…KLove will start on Odom, I will put Durant on Anderson and Gortat will defend Superman. Therefore you will have a slight to good advantage there BUT I will have a huge advantage at the 3….and I mean HUGE baby.
So I win! (because your bench isn´t better than mine…let´s just call it even)

let me tweak my comments
before I get jumped on.
I will change my matchup with Howard and Gortat and instead of saying a slight to good advantage I will say a really good advantage…but not enough to counter Durant. And when it´s time to go to the bench, who is going to gaurd my ¨second string¨ PF who you might have seen once or twice dunking over cars and people named KPerkins..nasty I tell you nasty!!!!!

nice lineups but
Starters: I would say that PG, SG, and SF (since we both have Durant) are a wash. Again, just like against DHoward, I would say that you have a pretty good advantage at the C, BUT I would be killing you at the PF postion…ALL NIGHT LONG!!! Who is going to stop the automatic double-double in KLove. I mean I am excited to see Patrick Patterson on your team but KLove will have his double-double by half time (something like 18pts and 10 rebounds) cause Love has him by like 2 inches and 15 to 20 pounds.
And who ya gonna put on Griffin when he gets in the game??? Just like with IrishThrasher, Ryan Anderson ain´t gonna stop my PF´s.
So again, I win baby!!!!

Eh.
Love puts up stats, but he wouldn’t fit on my team. I have my shooters, Gordon, Durant, Anderson, etc…Love just wouldn’t be able to shoot enough. Plus, nobody really knows how good P-pat could be. He’s too young to tell.

eh back at ya bro.
What does this quote of yours mean ?!?!?!?!
Love puts up stats, but he wouldn’t fit on my team
Love puts up stats just like DHoward, CP3, Kobe, Rose, Durant etc. All stars put up stats. He has stats because he can flat out play.
So again, you don´t have a player to stop EITHER of my PF´s.
p.s. you know I am just playin because this is all video game stuff anyway.

Love needs quite a bit of shots
He wouldn’t fit with Durant, who also needs a lot of shots. Just my opinion. Plus, I think my overall team would gel better than yours, but like you said, it’s all just for fun.
