Jeremy Lin is a beast!
He’s messing up our draft pick, without him and Novak the Knicks would be 8-18

We should have kept him.
He would have remained completely unknown.

believe it or not
Rockets coming into this game with the 16th-best defensive eff. in the league.
Pretty close to the “maybe we might improve to average” prediction from the start of the season.
It's funny, I think the Rockets play great D, except when they don't.
So it looks worse than it is. Teams either get tough contested shots or easy layups.
"Each in turn... volunteered his suggestions, his invaluable suggestions."
And Javale McGee has the occasional flash of brilliance interspersed with terribleness
and the result is something of an average player
I'd like to think our D rises about Javaleness.

Man Linsanity strikes again
To think that guy could be riding our pine instead of Johnny Flynn
Yeah, a rare Morey Mistake.

Most of us on here wanted Lin instead of Flynn after we saw both of them played
I just think since Flynn was under contract we kept him, but that is no looking very smart.

Well He's screwing up our draft pick
Didnt see that coming
Wins against the Nets and Wizards are hardly screwing up our pick.
We would have reason to be worried if the Knicks couldn’t beat those teams.
It's true
I assume no one has a good scouting report on him yet
going toe to toe with D-will and John Wall is a feat in itself though
Though people are overlooking how well Landry Field has been since Melo went down
I noticed that John Wall basically checks out on D fairly often.

Javale McGee ran back on D when they still have the ball

Rockets go for 60 in a half.
Exactly one point of which cam from the FT line.
"Each in turn... volunteered his suggestions, his invaluable suggestions."
That is very difficult to do in an NBA Game
unless you’re the Houston Rockets who cannot get a call from the refs.
If we keep the scoring consistent
We’ll have 120 points! Well we can only hope. Looking great so far!
My thoughts are like Brian Cushing on the field: Everywhere.
If we have 120 points,
and 2 FTs, that will have to be some kind of record.

That's because starting the 3rd, the lead was 14
so when the other team scores 7 more than you, it cuts the lead to 7. Amazing, huh?

Why?
Team with 10th-best offense and 3rd-best defense making a comeback at home. Wow what a fucking surprise.
it doesn't matter what you are going into the game
if you can’t hold onto a fucking 20 point lead twice in 7 days there are HUGE problems
I'd say it absolutely matters
since that’s an indication of how good you are. Why should it be at all surprising that a good team can make a comeback?
An early lead likely to be the product of small sample size. As the game goes on, expect these things to return to the mean. And so the team coming in with the advantage should gradually make a comeback.
Or we can go with our gut and say it’s the product of heart or some shit, I guess.
that's assuming the game-to-game variance is 0
which i think is unlikely
not assuming that;
assuming that game-to-game variance is small enough for us to make reasonable predictions.
MCHale, wake the fuck up.

None.
Parsons will be a better shooter all around next year, mark my words.
"Each in turn... volunteered his suggestions, his invaluable suggestions."
I hope he still is a rotational player then
It’s really hard for me to solidify Parson’s starter position given that Morris might be pushing him and we might draft a good GF
But when you've got a guy who's a great defender, big enough, really smart player
and all he needs is shooting?
Why do you need another guy?
"Each in turn... volunteered his suggestions, his invaluable suggestions."
because NBA doesnt make sense like that
Honestly if we upgrade to a star on any other position, Parson is already a very good complimentary player.
Also if we dont have enough scoring(which we do when K-mart and Luis are on), Parsons’s starter job might be tough to swallow

I'd like to point out how poorly Dragic played in this game.
He replaced Lowry down the stretch, and in his almost 23 minutes of playtime he managed to turn the ball over 5 times, screw up the pick and roll repeatedly, miss a bunch of free throws, and generally play like a slower version of J.J. Barea. Somehow, this did not cause us to lose the game.
he also had some manly drives to the hoop so it somewhat evens out
i think dragic plays a lot better when he knows he’s behind someone in the rotation.
Dragic is a wild player
but he plays tenaciously, and that makes a difference sometimes. Portland’s guards played like crap tonight, and Dragic just continually attack the rim, which is an element we really lack if you take Dragic away
Good news is He’s been pretty good in his career so far when he starts, not sure why
You should have seen his first two seasons in Phoenix.
Nervous, out of control, couldn’t handle the ball or shoot. Playing under Nash helped him much more than anyone will every realize.

I'd go as far as compare Nash to Jerry Rice
In work ethic and effectiveness. Nash is, what, 37 or 38, and still balling hard. Guy knows how to play, and how to take care of himself, just like Rice.
My thoughts are like Brian Cushing on the field: Everywhere.
The Phx staff and Nash
really keep that team healthy, it’s amazing the influence Nash has on that team
well ever since he's been here
He’s been nothing but ferocious. I dont know if anyone see it the same way I do, but I feel like he plays with so much more intensity with us than I ever seen before, and he’s been able to maintain it. He’s wild but pretty effective what he does
well like I said before
Dragic is so not a half court player, I’d go as far as say Dragic never really had to run much half-court sets before this year. He just runs and shoot 3s, it’s what he did in Europe, and it;s what he did with the Suns. He’s sensational when he gets the ball in transition, but so so in half-court. I still really likes the way he plays defense though
Im likin the balance between our 1st and 2nd units.
When ones a big offensive threat, the others a good defender and vice versa. They all compliment each other well. Very balanced team.

martin dissapointed tonight though
I don’t think he fits this system, or maybe the new foul rule. one or the other. he just doesn’t drive like he used to

I think hes just in a slump.
Before the past couple games, he was goin off. He does need to be more consistent though.

I just would like to see him drive to the basket
i’m serious. the play between him and lowry was like, you take the shot, no you take the shot, no you take the shot, etc. it’s definately not the martin of last season.

Lowry news can't come soon enough

Has Kevin Martin checked out?
I think it’s a legit question to ask now

saving his energy for playoffs
hopefully on the rockets…
Who doesn't destroy Phoenix?
lol…you’re right though, I am better than that. I’m honestly just trying to push my theory of Lee being better than Martin.

Hop on the bandwagon.
Lee for starting SG!

Only half-kidding.
Lee is nice off the bench.

Kyle confirms hyperextension of elbow. he’ll get treatment and see how it feels tomorrow. In other words, too early to know status v Suns

Hyperextension not bad, depending on the degree of it.
But Dragic starting one or two games isn’t too bad.

Well, we got a great win
but I don’t think we moved up in the standings any (not that it really matters) since Portland was already under us.
Dallas won in Denver (interesting), Memphis beat Minny, Spurs won in Philly.
yeah
I bet they can’t wait for martin to arrive next month. billups was a loss.

they've got enough guards
and they’ve got a better closer in CP3
i don’t think it hurts that much
He played today.
six points on 3 of 7 shooting.

went up to 4 i think
i guess we were tied 6th?
Still a lot of games to be played
However, it’s looking like PPat is starting to really get his groove on, and Lee is just playing terrific. I hope we can keep the intensity up for the rest of the season.
My thoughts are like Brian Cushing on the field: Everywhere.
the play between parsons and PPat was awesome

only if it hurts another team
if it hurts us it’s basketball reasons

whew great win tonight
Tough to win @ portland. Funny that the injury bug is finally visiting other teams (nuggets, clips etc…) for once.

It always visits the Clippers, because it lives there.
